Didn't see a thread for Waitrose, so thought I'd start one and you can share your favourite products.

One product I bought the other day is this:

I really like this. It's not cheap, but I think it's really nice tasting. I had it in a sandwich and was great. Anyone who likes prawn cocktail, I would suggest giving this a go and see what you think.

In regards to sweet food items. These are really tasty:

With a cup of coffee, they are a tasty treat.

For fish lovers. This beer battered haddock is really nice. Love the batter - very flakey and crispy.

I have had some real wins with substitutions. My best was when I bought two 800g packs of Purina Senior dry cat food for my Maine Coon at £5.85 a pack or 2 for £8.

I was substituted 2 x 3kg packs of Purina Senior at the 2 for £8 deal, so 6kg for the on offer price of 1.6kg. It kept my greedy boy in food for ages, I was delighted!

I have also frequently had items of a shorter date than guided on the website free of charge so not to disappoint me. Nothing has been dated any earlier than the next day.

I’m actually waiting for an online Waitrose delivery now! Every third week I have Ocado.

Agree re subs with Waitrose - had some good deals. :-)

I also love their beer battered haddock. Their Nduja paste is fab and the 3 for £10 on their chicken, meat and fish is really good value for money.

I’m a fan as you can probably tell 😂

For some items, they are better than Ocado. I think their choice of steaks is better than Ocado, and some of their bakery goods too. Also, Waitrose have prepacked sandwiches, which is great. The caramelised onion chutney and steak sandwiches are lovely.

That’s why I only do an Ocado every three weeks. I like the M&S 4 nut granola so I stock up on that and a few other things. I absolutely love having my grocery shopping delivered home. :-)

Waitrose have a 25% off 6 bottles of wine offer at the moment. I decided to stock up on prosecco for Christmas. I've just had my email for this evening's delivery, I ordered 6 of these at £7.99 per bottle

Waitrose are substituting those with these at £13.49 per bottle, I am feeling rather chuffed as they are price matched.

Just had a look to see if there was a Waitrose thread and came across this one. I have a (very rare) delivery coming Christmas Eve - any recommendations for goodies?

Their bakery goods are generally really nice. Not sure about their Xmas goods, as I've not shopped there this year. Surprised you got a slot haha.

They emailed me back in September to book a Christmas slot as a "valued customer" 😳 - I maybe order once or twice a year, and never at Christmas normally. Our nearest is about 40 miles away since they closed the nearest ones I think, so I've not been in one to browse in ages.

Waitrose bakery goods are far better than any chain bakery. Fruit and Veg lasts way past sell by date, their selection of pastes are better too. Some things are more expensive but there's plenty that is the same price or cheaper than Sainsburys or Tesco. I've just discovered their Granolas 25p more than Sainsburys but don't have the cheap after taste.

I posted them a while back, but their almond croissants are really nice.

Oh god I miss shopping at Waitrose so much … we don’t have any in NI 😔 When I lived in England it was my regular supermarket.

I’ve been known to fill chiller boxes up in the nearest Waitrose to the ferry ports on my way home 😂 since moving here.

the frozen pastries are very good, they do pain au chocolate, croissants and pain au raisin. Really handy if you have room in the freezer

Bumping this thread because I’ve driven to the only Waitrose in Leeds to get this beauty 😍

These are really nice. Lovely small crackers, but full of flavour and gluten free. I'm not gluten free myself, but doesn't matter really as these are still tasty.

Has anyone seen the scrumptious summer cherry bake well yumyums this year? They were around last year and the one before but were quite elusive, not many stores had them. They are SO good

You can see how far Waitrose have fallen by the lack of posts on this site, particularly in comparasion to M&S.
I've pretty much dumped Waitrose now. I used to go there for something a bit special but now take the drive to M&S as opposed to walking to Waitrose as there is barely anything there that I want anymore.
Went in there for a fancy quiche as they used to do some interesting ones such as Pear and gorgonzola and nothing other than the usual culprits, Bakery has gone to tit too.
