Vigil - BBC

Jesus, could have been wrapped up in four episodes.

Morse code

Hazz suits not worn by army who came on board etc

I thought it was just OK overall and found the last episode a total letdown. I wasn't a fan of the flashbacks at all. I'm generally not a fan of flashbacks and just find them boring. We didn't even get to see Suranne arriving home to her cat!

Don't think I'll bother with a Season 2 if it happens. I think the only reason I'd watch is so I could listen to the Shrine podcast!

I rolled my eyes so hard throughout the entire episode. What a let down! Once she got off the boat, they should have wrapped it up instead of dragging it out for another eternity.

I thought Suranne Jones was the weak link in the whole program. I still don't really get why they needed her on the submarine. I'm sure they could have still done the storyline without her there.

Yeah it would have been a lot better if it was just a tense Red October style thriller contained within the crew, with the suspense of something like The Thing where no-one trusts one another as things keep going wrong.

Finally mustered up the energy to suggest to the husband that we should probably watch the final episode.

Why was nobody wearing PPE/hazmat suits around the Coxon in the med bay? Why did Ygritte feel the need to do an interview on a bench instead of in a police station? I don't know why I even care.

You know when you start something with good intentions, then you really can't be arsed to finish it, but feel obliged to? That's Vigil in a nutshell. Just one giant meh 🤷🏼‍♀️
