I think most of the LLs can to a greater or lesser extent craft a sentence (not you, Daisy Buchanan).

They’re certainly a step up from the celebs in their 40s who have recently put pen to paper… had a flick through Sara Cox’s novel because I genuinely like her but the prose was so flat and lifeless.
Daisy Buchanan’s terrible and she’s obsessed with orgies 😂 Both her books feature them

I really want to ban sex and men from LL books. I don’t even have time for them, I work 😂

Dolly putting those Boris rumours to rest 😉

This I AM LABOUR stuff is a bit too try hard 😆 You can, of course, have left leaning views no matter your background drawn from your experiences- I know plenty of posh girls who actually work for quite low salaries and understand how it is to be quite poor when they vote etc. But Dolly lives in such a bubble and her whole career has been built from cultivating probs Conservative voting friends in high places

Good Material, to be published in hardback on 2nd November 2023, follows 35-year-old Andy as he faces the realities of his life, career and relationship. According to the publisher: “Dolly Alderton’s highly-anticipated second novel is about the mystery of what draws us together – and what pulls us apart – the pain of really growing up and the stories we tell about our lives”.

"Good Material demonstrates, once again, Dolly’s extraordinary talent for mapping the human heart.”

Tbf all the rich people I know in London media circles vote Labour. They see it as a mark of how caring they are, and they like to tell people they vote Labour as often as they can. Maybe it helps assuage their private school guilt.

They are the same people who professed to be Liberal Democrat when I was at university... I think they just can't bring themselves to admit they are (small c) conservatives in reality!

I don't mind them voting labour of course but deep down I know they are not labour 😂

Bernie Sanders on How to Fail. He is so unfazed by Elizabeth’s sycophancy 😂

This feels a lot like a poor man's Nick Hornby.

The only Bernie Saunders podcast interview I’ll listen to is David McWilliams. He is funny, smart, and very thoughtful.
(Cringe even thinking about HtF interview, cringeeeeee)
