I think her partner was also a writer, so he might have understood how her writing helped her cope, iykwim? I'd have a soft spot for Ella after that, and I like the recipe books she does now as I'm someone who likes there being a bit of a story to read before getting to the ingredients list.

Her newsletter is free as far as I can see. She can probably sell some adverts in there for some revenue, but potentially using it as a long term goal to advertise her future books/grow her profile?

Most substack newsletters have a free option and then two different tiers. I checked hers and it’s the same, free newsletter every other week or pay annually or month for more frequent

Lorraine Candy’s a bit of an LL too. She may be more well known on the fashion scene- she’s edited top mags- but seems to really love doing opinion pieces on herself for anywhere that will take her like them all 😆

Going back to Dolly Alderton I feel so out of the loop now I’ve invested in her semi autobiographical life with her recon series. Does anyone have any tea on her irl? I know this thread was originally from her hi low podcast and evolved but keen to know any deeeets if they’re going?

Some good tea in the old Dolly/Pandora threads- my favourite is she’s known irl for asking people socially after they’ve told funny dating/life stories if she can put it in her column and pretend it happened to her :)

There’s rumours about her shagging Boris Johnson above which apparently come from multiple sources

The whole wild one/good one dynamic she seems to have with the best friend would bug me irl, I had a friend who tried to make herself the ‘serious’ one and it was so annoying 😆

What are ‘scond hand finds’?
I’m assuming it’s boasts of her eBay scores when she can afford to buy the stupid original price I know it’s better to buy used and I do but leave it to us povos panda especially when it’s high end stuff that tends to last way longer. She can keep her husbands truly awful work desk though. Wicker. Shudder.

You’re so right. It’s very inappropriate. Sharing the order of service for a funeral isn’t great either.
 
It was probably a more public funeral for her celeb mates and those that knew her but not her closest friends as she was so well known, there was possibly a more intimate funeral for her nearest and dearest. Which makes it even more tragic Shulman is showing off about it :)

Possibly the celebs wanted to be tagged for exposure but Vivienne was known for her antiestablishment views, she would have hated all the celeb arse kissing :( of course I didn’t know her but at least that was the image she projected!
 
Actually not that that makes the post any less inappropriate but I don't think Shulman knows how to use hashtags at all as she hash tagged 'music'. That's not a good hashtag, wayyy too many posts under it and only vaguely related to what she posted :oops:

Nothing wrong with the picture imo but she just hadddd to mention she spent all night talking about Bob Dylan because she's so cooolll and loves musicccc :) bet she bored the tits off him, her droney voice is so slow even without being a stoner
And I bet she wouldn't stop talking about herself when he doesn't even know who she is probs, kind of think he might have some better stories about the entertainment and music industry? Oh wait they don't involve getting drunk and dating apps so Hannah isn't interested/can't steal them 🍷
