I’m reading Lucid by a journalist called Lucy Holden. I’d never heard of her til this book.
Anyone got any tea on her? I think she was a journalist at the Times and then she ran off with another married journalist, according to her book.

Knew she was quiet :)

Oh okay she has a heart condition. I mean I wish her well but she got that because she’s fat, not because she’s overworked having tea with Prince Harry 😂

I dunno maybe I overreacted, just couldn’t believe someone would openly blame someone else’s heart condition, that they don’t know about, on how much they weigh.
Just a guess, I am aware of that :) I just know it’s not because she’s overworked which she’s blaming it on, but I do agree I don’t know for sure

Why do these LLs feel like they need to share their musings 😖 with any ‘corner of the internet’?

I’m not interested in a su stack unless it is full of piping hot industry tea or has some genuinely good recommendations. Don’t care about the vital, whip smart new release from a publishing label that you happen to share. I’d love a sub stack that includes older books. Maybe around a theme. Would cut the wheat from the chaff in terms of how well read all these voracious readers are.

Agreed. Especially as they all recommend the same books so it's never anything new or original.

I actually feel sorry for Bryony now tho, she must have been really quite ill to disappear for ten months. The woman can’t last a day without chatting shite, seriously :)

How on earth did she end up drawing Ed Sheeran’s album cover? Surely this was not his personal choice of illustrator. Do her family just politely gloss over her quite clear eating disorder?
Her family always have celebs to stay at their estate in Suffolk. Literally whoever is famous is invited. Scarlett will know him from those sorts of celeb get-togethers.
