TV trends you're sick of seeing

Every drama seems to have really low lighting these days, all the rooms are nearly pitch black, it doesn't set a mood it just makes it annoying

Mumbling in dramas

In documentaries when they do that thing where they'll show a little bit before they start talking and the person who is being interviewed will say something like "Are we ready?" and then they'll show a hand with a clipboard

Every show seems to now have about 4 presenters

All the different shows about the police on the beat, there always seems to be about 7 running at the same time. Even though it's different cities it's normally the same tit

Panel comedians suddenly being presenters

-No doubt I'll think of more-

I know it's not super obvious but this one relationship trope being used: woman has had a string of bad relationships, then she finds someone who's great and for some reason that's when she decides to go on a self-discovery journey and needs to be on her own and ends her perfectly healthy relationship. Nobody should stay in a relationship they don't feel like staying in, but I'm a bit tired of this kind of storyline.

About the really low lit scenes. I also hate this! Now with the premiere of House of the Dragon, I just know we'll get plenty of those can barely-see-anything episodes like in GoT.

Oh yes those bloody cooking shows, there are enough regular talk shows that people can go on to promote their books/music films and so forth without adding their food heaven/hell, 50 ways to cook fish into the mix.
You want meal inspiration, buy cookbooks, go online, look at blogs, check out social media etc..
At the weekends bring back Swap Shop & Tiswas, Pop Quiz, Runaround with decent presenters and guests with phone-ins so you can call up and ask Ed Sheeran why he’s an eejit. Anything but bloody cooking shows and cooking competitions

When there’s a quiz that’s entirely music, or they have a music round, and they wheel out someone who has a radio show *yet* really knows nothing about music if it’s not current/recent chart music. Please find people who know more or don’t have a radio show because of their surname.

crappy audio so that you can’t understand the actors is one of my top grievances, especially if blaring music is laid over it. Generally I hate that I have to constantly adjust the volume as the filmmakers can’t seem to decide whether they are filming a bleeping orchestra production or a silent movie from 1900.

Series dragging on and on. Some stories don’t need to be told in ten or more seasons.

Casting grown—ass adults as teens.

The same 'celebrities' appearing again and again on different shows, eg on strictly then they pop up on masterchef followed I'm a celeb... etc etc
To be fair I don't watch most of these shows but that's often one of the reasons why lol

I will make an exception for masterchef
They're trying to cash in as much as possible before it all fades away

TV kids from tiny to older teenage are always hideously obnoxious brats. I can’t stand it. Where on earth did it come from? And parents who just bend over and take it. Weird.

If I start watching something and kids play a fundamental role - I’m gone.

Using ‘popular’ music. The way they are caning it, the advertisers must be aiming every product at blinged up wanna be gangsters. They’ve even started using slang normally only used by teenagers 🤷🏼‍♀️
