At this stage you'd be looking at the favourites, Pogacar and Vingegaard. Would love to see Cavendish win a stage and get the record, and would like to see Pidcock get a win too. Also looking forward to seeing some of them when the World Championships come to Glasgow. Thanks Fifah for setting this thread up! Any early predictions for this years winner? I’ve really enjoyed the Netflix documentary on last year’s Grandest of Grand Tours and planning to go to France to watch next year
Two French stage winners and the first black African stage winner, we just need Cav to win a stage and it will be perfectWhat a great first couple of days. Really pleased to see french stage winners too!

Sometimes I wish they were behind barriers but that would spoil the race, sitting around drinking alcohol waiting for the tour to pass doesn't help their judgement. That spectator with their arm getting hit by a rider yesterday, then immediately stepping into the road as the whole peloton was passing!
I enjoyed watching it but I'm sure they didn't enjoy riding it!I finally caught up with the gravel stage - I wonder what the tour organisers will learn from it. I thought some of the sections were a bit of a farce, with riders having to get off and walk/run and riders at the back of the peleton at a complete standstill as the road narrowed so much. Made for an interesting stage though and great to see another French stage win!
