I wanted to know this and didnāt pick up on what the son was in for either. They either didnāt show it or I missed it too.I didnāt know the rest was available on the iplayer and spent two days worrying about mark finished it now but want to know more. What was his son in for? What happened to him
This was one of the bits I had to run out of the room covering my ears and eyes forThat was a tense watch, the Scum reference with the pool balls was Did I miss the reason why the officer's son was in prison?
Finished it. My nerves are shot!
It didn't go into why the son was inside, but I possibly missed it too. Makes you wonder how a lad who knows the system could end up there.
Awful in places, you could see the difference in those who want to be reformed, those who don't and those who can't.
Paul was the tall guy with the daughter and wife who visited him, robbed the bookiesFinished it last night and I absolutely loved it. I had tears streaming down my face when his Dad died; the fact he didnāt get to go to the funeral and then his mums wonderful speech about how his Dad was proud of him going to the police station and accepting his sentence. It was wonderfully written, directed and shot and just so believable. It was great to see a dynamic with parents and an āgrown manā, and loved that his Mum was there with his Son to see him released.
I had to leave the room when I thought he was going to get the drugs sewn in his coat, I was like āno Sean Bean!ā
Also really enjoyed that the prisoners who we met were in for horrific crimes with trivial meanings; the lad who stabbed another on a night out to save face, and the man who killed his best friend because he said he loved him, and the friend didnāt want that.
Quick question; Mark had to put gifts of his belongings. One was to Kav the bloke who found him after the pool ball incident and the other was to Paulā¦ who was Paul again?
I'm part way through episode 2. The bit with the kettle (ep 1) shocked me to my core.
I just watched an interview with an ex prisoner who was talking about the show and apparently throwing sugar and water is called "Jugging". The way he spoke about it made it sound common! That's what happens to women in prison who kill/harm children.
Me too. I thought there would be something in a communal area for them to make hot drinks where they're more visible to those on dutyI was surprised that they even had a kettle tbh!
They're not always out of their cells though.Me too. I thought there would be something in a communal area for them to make hot drinks where they're more visible to those on duty
The scene where he missed his fathers funeral was heartbreaking. I think I cried ugly tears during that episode. I found the whole thing very emotional xFinished it last night and I absolutely loved it.
