She’d been on the show for well over 15 years before she got the main gig. It’s not as if she was plucked off the street because she is black or large or female.

If anything, Dermot was the diversity hire. A few months after Schofe comes out and they hire him as The Straight Man. Were Schofield still in the closet, I bet they’d have offered the job to Rylan.

She's just not very good though, and it's a little bit odd how she keeps that job. She never came from presenting did she? Wasn't she just someone from big brother? I'm not sure, I don't remember.

I don't really agree with ex reality TV show people becoming proper presenters when many young, talented people go to university or media school to do that job.

I do have an issue with lack of new faces on TV. It's always the same old, same old, and a fair few of them aren't very good at doing the job. Then again, the TV industry is what it is. It seems to be about who you know more than anything.

The mispronunciation of words thing he does is getting tiresome. Today he was talking about Lady Fingers in the tiramisu he was making. He said: “What do ya call it: finger ladies?”

Holly & Phil tried to stifle their laughter and about 30 seconds later Gino said: “I just realised what I said”
