I think Dermot has tried to make This Morning fit for him but it’s clear he doesn’t fit. He appears so disinterested in the show and has no rapport whatsoever with Alison. I think he was shoved on to TM as a sweetener after Simon retired the X factor.

Plus is he able to present a single link without swaying or kicking an imaginary football?

The only other presenter I think would work on TM on Fridays is Matt Baker. He’s not too cool for school and can present even if he is a little boring. Team him up with Emma Willis maybe?

He does it ALL THE TIME!

Him and either Christine Bleakley or Emma Willis for Fridays. We need serious boring presenters I think. How long are ITV seriously going to let Alison and Dermot go on for? Viewers on Fridays are turning off in droves- Twitter is alight on Fridays with his bad the show is. My bet is Dermot will be off as soon as his contract is up! He’ll diplomatically move on to another show.

Nooo not Emma Willis! I don’t actually mind her but the way she always stands swaying with her hands in her pockets really irritates me I get distracted as it looks like she’s bored or fidgety as if she’s about to say ‘right I’ve had enough now see you later’
 
Not sure why schofe and squeaky are still standing so far apart, even 1m, when they were happy to be right next to each other at Wimbledon?

And the general public have been sitting right next to strangers at football matches, theatres etc, for weeks now?

I think the more often they keep having Alison on doing comical segments like they did today, the less accepted she will be as a main host. I think they think the opposite, but everytime I see her pissing about like she was this morning I just think “I can’t believe you’re the main host on a Friday” 🤦‍♀️

It's not just This Morning, it's every live tv show still have presenters and guests socially distanced. It's baffling! We all know they're not distancing anywhere else, what's the point?!

its insanity - we all know as soon as it cuts they are close together or we've seen them out and about. I cant see why live TV is still pushing the social distancing narrative when literally nobody else is. Presumably they are testing regularly so its incredibly small risk?
