I dont know why they cant just keep Eamonn and Ruth as the presenters.
They do a perfectly good job of hosting.
They bicker like Richard and Judy used to and it works.
Too old, not diverse enough. That is how they decide on who are good presenters these days. It’s not about who is the most talented, or who the viewers prefer, it is how internally that their processes and targets are met. Maybe once they realise they have lost their viewers they will revert back to having the right person for the job, particularly the commercial channels who rely on advertising for revenue. If nobody is watching, nobody will advertise. Any change back to being talent led will because of financial reasons.

Why are Eamonn and Rochelle still sitting so far apart. I presume they have been tested for covid so it will be safe for them to sit together.

The programme is a comfy sort of background noise type of show watched mainly out of habit by a lot of people and
Eamonn and Ruth are perfect for it.

Having said that, I stopped watching it a long time ago so I don't even know why I'm posting about it.

Can't stand Phillip, find Holly bland and yes Eamonn and Ruth do seem "old."
Rochelle is a lousy presenter.
Alison always made me laugh in her short pieces but I have no idea how she's doing as a full-time presenter.
And Dermot is inoffensive but doesn't make me want to tune in.

TBH I don't know what itv could do to make me want to watch again.

I agree with most of what you say - Eamonn and Ruth don't seem "old" to us oldies. :) and I do like them presenting together. I only watch TM when they are presenting and just had about 10 mins with it yesterday to see what he would be like with Rochelle. Back to the old wireless now. 📻

I don't think age has anything to do with it. If they are good at their job that's all I want. Someone like Emma Willis isn't old but she is professional and good at what she does. I would prefer to watch her over someone like Anthea Turner who is older than her.
I’d like it if Emma Willis and Rylan presented it full time. Two professional, pleasant people who would probably have a laugh but wouldn’t be cliquey like Holly and Phil. Young enough to pull in younger viewers, old enough to have experience to handle harder hitting segments. ITV execs if you’re reading please hire these two Mon-Thurs. Happy to have Eamon and Ruth on Fridays still because I have a soft spot for them 😂

I can't bear Rochelle's voice. Why don't they move Charlene White from Loose Women to This Morning? She would tick their diverse box, but most importantly she is a professional likeable well spoken presenter who currently seems out of place amongst some of the tackier Loose Women.
Ideally I'd keep Eamonn and Ruth all the time and let Phil & Holly concentrate on their hair dye and Any Car commercials.

I watch TM when my grandchild has their morning nap. I would only watch Eamon and Ruth as there is something so comforting about them. Their companionable bickering is perfect for that sort of programme. Yet they have the depth and gravitas for the more serious topics.
Holly and Phil are far too manic and have so many 'in jokes' and giggling fits over something private that they exclude the viewer and often guests.
The occasions I've caught Rochelle she seemed like a rabbit in the headlights tbh.
