This Morning #4 Holly Gormless

Itā€™s a shame they canā€™t find a decent female presenter that can cope with big/serious news stories or interviews. Alison, Josie, Rochelle and Mollie all just sit and let the male take the lead with the occasional ā€œum-hmmā€ thrown in so it looks like they are following the conversation.
Mollie has just laughed pretty much anytime Andi or Dermot has said anything for the past two days.
There must be better female presenters out there!

Still rooting for Fearn to come back šŸ’Ŗ

truthfully - I think an older woman who has lived her life, maybe had kids, been divorced, had surgeries/illness etc, multiple careers etc - is SO much more inspirational as a presenter than a young 30s size 8 presenter who is dead behind the eyes.

I donā€™t mean to be ageist or sexist (Iā€™m 30s myself) - but I just donā€™t find these young girls particularly good at offering real life advice to the real life women who watch.

I think these older strong women are SO much more relatable. Think Judy F, Fearne, Vanessa etc. People are sick of presenters slash models slash pop singers who sit there like Barbie Dolls and offer very little interesting opinions or life experience. Give me someone with an ex husband and cellulite, please!

They did say they would be rotating presenters I assumed it would be that way until the ITV investigation was completed. Also it means less scandal if one presenter missteps out of a few people than one/two out of two.

I really like Craig but does he live in Ireland? Maybe a regular slot in morning live TV in London just wouldnā€™t be viable? A lot of people probably wouldn't want the regular early morning starts and live tv to be fair.

I think theyā€™d be quite good, both can be fun and handle any more serious stuff.
Interesting that it says they will have to take Dermot aside to explain to him why Ben got the job ahead of him but doesnā€™t mention the same for Alison despite an article a while ago saying she would get the hump if she didnā€™t get the main job
