Twitter is absolutely ripping them a new one and rightly so.

Holly said on instagram it was about paying respect, nothing on there about working
There’s photos clearly showing them filing past, not in a separate journalist bit as they’ve claimed
They managed to interview one bloke outside. The queue jumping must have taken it out of them. They even reused news footage so clearly weren’t working that hard
They know they’ve done wrong to the point they can’t even risk apologising live. Not that there was a single shred of an apology or remorse in that pre-recorded crap
 
This was the official statement that Holly read out. It was a pack of lies as we could see they joined the public. They weren't in their own space reserved for journalists.

"Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists, we were given official permission to access the hall. It was strictly for the purpose for reporting on the event for millions of people in the UK who haven't been able to visit Westminster in person.
The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back.
In contrast, those paying their respects walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.
None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyones place in the queue and no one filed past The Queen. We, of course respected those rules, however we realised that it may have looked like something else and therefore totally understand of the reaction.
Please note we would never jump a queue."

If it was all about journalists why did susanna Reid not do the same? Why did she wait for 7 hours? When she does actual proper morning news? I’d love to know her opinion!

She had her mum with her and the fast pass was for the individual only, not family members.Only MPs could take family members with them.
Fair play to Susanna she queued all night, paid her respects then went home got changed and attended Bill Turnbull's funeral.
 
My goodness that "apology", buried as it was as a voiceover to a feeble review of the week, was piss poor wasn't it?

Tsk tsk ITV, Phil and Holly. Try harder!
