This Morning #3 Another day, another host - but it’s Phil and Holly we loathe the most!

Oh totally she should lose it - they should clean house and get rid of them all. I just don’t think the show should be axed if they get in a new presenting panel and new execs..
 
Surely they (ITV) know by now they can't keep pretending the public are stupid. There can't be another 'sad news' type segment at the beginning of the show with people/presenters saying we are all shocked at this news etc.

Who would want to front that show now knowing the main presenter of the last 10+ years was a wrong'un.

I hope they use this as the instigator for a massive shake up
The current presenters (except Craig Doyle) are dreadful
I can just see them coming back with Rochelle and Marvin as the hosts which would be a disaster too

Good lord those two would be absolutely crap! They are already being touted to take over Dancing on Ice, which would be another disaster. They need to disappear off tv forever as well.

I like Ruth Langford as a presenter. She’s warm and engaging but doesn’t take any crap/is nobody’s fool, based on the small segments of This Morning/Loose Women I have seen her in.

That’s what I thought too but it seems it could have also been about Phil's behaviour in general however good on her for standing up for what she believed in either way. I remember her with the story with the lady who had the peanut allergy abroad and thought Ruth was very empathetic and compassionate i’d like to see her back. It will be a hard slot to fill for 2 hours if they cancel
 
Daytime telly needs a show like This Morning, just one that is done better.
Less focus purely on women's fashion (gosh, imagine, men being at home with the tv on in the daytime!) and a wider range of guests/reviewers (do we REALLY need to see Gyles Brandreth or Matthew Wright on telly every week?).
Terrestrial TV is dire for the most part during the day; full of repeats, old shows and so on.
I miss the days BBC Two would show classic movies, for example.
Anyway.
I think a show like This Morning is needed, just a better version of it.
There are a lot of behind-the-scenes folk (who will have had very little to do with Philth or Holly) that make these shows work and for them to lose their jobs in a difficult market like television seems a bit off.

Just do better, and don't be Steph McGovern's show.

TBH I still miss Light Lunch...

DOI needs to be axed too, viewing figures are getting lower and lower with each series.
