For me it's not specifically about the queue jumping it's their entitled and smug self importance in general. This has just been the thing big enough to highlight it to enough people to cause a storm.

I agree. In the grand scheme of things, queue jumping isn't the biggest crime in the world. It was their smugness and sense of entitlement that turned everyone against them. Not apologising was the final straw. To be honest the handling of the whole thing has been a total disaster. The PR team have their work cut out if there is any way of turning this around.

Absolutely agree.

Phil, in particular has made a lot of enemies and they have been waiting in the long grass for something like this. He seemed to be untouchable up to now. So the people whom he has pissed off, for various reasons over the years, are not going to let this opportunity go easily.

The voiceover with Holly only made things worse. It smacked of more arrogance on both their parts. Phil must be too high and mighty to even have to contribute to the non-apology.

I don't watch This Morning when they are on. I watch Dancing on Ice, but tune them out as much as possible in the process. Stephen Mulhern stood in one night for Phil in the last series and the difference was amazing. He was funny, light hearted, enjoying himself, interacted well with everyone and even Holly lightened up a bit, as a result.

Have you not heard of a young ITV runner who's first name is Matthew? He worked on This Morning.
