So glad this has got a long Tattle thread - I’ll try and catch up before the next episode tomorrow. I binged this a few days ago and I have two thoughts.
  • I find it really jarring how the tasks are completely disconnected from the traitor/faithful mystery. They should occasionally make the traitors have to purposefully lose money or push the task in one team’s favour or something and then reveal this to the wider group just before the round table. This would add so many more elements to the game (people would start to suspect someone purely on the basis of them being tit at a task) and make the episodes hang together a bit more. At the moment, some episodes lose their flow during the middle act as the task seems irrelevant to the broader storyline.

  • I’m really enjoying it but the true success of this show relies heavily on the second series. There’s a chance that it comes back and is incredibly repetitive. There’s also a chance that they shove in too many twists to try and freshen it up and it feels manipulated. I do worry that, like Big Brother all those years ago, it will lose its innocence now that contestants have seen the show. I really hope they get it right next year.

I’ve always been under the impression that these shows don’t pay out until the final airs?

Amanda gives big “Valleys girl who got lucky and became a kept woman because her husband has a lucrative mechanical engineering job” energy so I wouldn’t be surprised if she splashes the cash at the best of times.

I said something similar re the tasks a few pages ago and people thought I wasn’t enjoying it (which I thoroughly am) so I’m glad you agree 🥰 I just think the traitors hold ALL the cards so them having to put a little bit of risk out there would even it up and as you say make the program flow a little better. Would be good to see this next season.

Not sure where these 'Maddy is a good player' takes came from, she just wittered a nonsensical theory about who was a traitor and managed to snag one at random whilst also snagging a faithful, and flogs a dead horse to the point she is ignored in the group. I doubt her ability as a traitor too given she randomly decided to divulge her acting when there was no need and she knew it would count against her.

I feel if Aaron goes and is revealed to be a faithful she will just say he is actually a traitor and it is another twist in the game, that is how doggedly she is commited to her 'knowing' the truth. Wouldn't trust her with yesterday's paper.

Yes she looks like she would enjoy fine dining and expensive clothes.

I do think there are a few flaws with the game but hopefully season 2 will iron these out.
Example: What if traitors were banished straight away? What would happen?
Keeping the traitors identity secret
Anyone got any other ideas

On the subject of Maddy, I think what was interesting was when in episode 2 or 3, she said she could ‘feel’ that Will was a traitor. Obviously she said the same about Aaron and is wrong about that, but I do think intuition would be a powerful tool in this game. Your intuition will be alerted by small changes in body language, almost invisible to the naked eye. Of course you would have to be watching for slip ups, or facts, but I do think you would have to lean on intuition. Perhaps it depends on your personality, some people are more intuitive than others and rely on it more. Others are analytical and scientific. Very interesting!

So into this programme!!! I like that there’s not to many twists & turns. Don’t want drama just for the sake of it.
I hope Amanda takes down Wilfred. She’s carried him so far. She’s cocked up by banishing Theo but W should have her back & direct focus away from him like she’s done for him. Think the group have underestimated her so far just bcoz she’s Welsh!!!
I think Fay will be gone. They seem to only keep the thickos in!

Fascinated at the thought of a Celebrity Traitors.

I can just see it - Captain Tom’s Evil Daughter at the round table, begging and pleading with Christopher Biggins not to vote her out as she’s 100% a faithful, only for her to waltz up the tower later that night to murder him with her other traitors (Supernanny and Heather from EastEnders).

COMING UP NEXT WEEK:

Mary Berry: I think that Kim might be a traitor.

Kim Woodburn: Don’t start with me, you little witch!

Im surprised more faithfuls didnt think to say they were asked to be traitors.
Obvs Alex was asked and refused and told everyone. I would have said i was asked as well to throw everyone off thinking i was a traitor..
But that would require a situation where they all enter the breakfast room in the morning no?

Ex-copper, Claire, reckons she was originally eyed up to be a traitor. I wonder if the producers had her in mind but ended up going with Amanda instead perhaps?

One thing's for sure though, Wilf would've always been a dead cert to be a traitor from the very start. He's absolutely desperate!
I’ve followed her for a long time. She’s an absolute dick. She really is. If anyone has seen her tik tok all she bangs on about is being a mum of 4 and how she’s over 40 but doesn’t look it. I actually forgot I followed her, she was married, but not sure if they’re still together. Never knew she was ex police untill this show either
