I'm enjoying it so far, but I am surprised that it's the same location, same challenges etc. I was expecting an American version, not the exact same show, just with a different cast.

Having "celebrities" doesn't bother me because I don't know anyone apart from Brandi and Ryan.

Alan Cumming is an absolute hoot!

Watched 2 episodes of the US one. I don't know who any of the reality stars are but they seem to dominate so it's almost pointless having the normals in. Americans also seem way too obvious in the way they react, despite declaring themselves geniuses at game-playing.

The Brits were a lot more subtle which made it work so well.

The edit focuses way too much on them. There are a couple of 'normal' women who I don't think have had any screen time at all

Also, the celebs don't care about the money, so can't be arsed with the tasks and that takes some of tension out of it

I don't think Ryan Lochte has a clue what is happening or where he even is

I had to Google him because I had no idea who he was. What an absolute arse.
I’m kind of getting over the idea of the “celebs” because I’d never heard of any of them before, although the producers seem to have gone out of their way to choose some particularly irritating z listers.

The problem is that a lot of the American shows rely on out-and-out confrontation, either for gameplay (Big Brother) of for drama (Real Housewives).

As we saw in the UK version, The Traitors relies on subtlety and suggestion. That’s alien to most of these people.

I saw my son today, he was at working at DragCon all last weekend. He was telling us about everyone he met and chatted to and said he spent about 30 minutes talking to 'some bloke off that programme on tv..... Traitors or something'. He'd only been talking to Kieran and had no idea who he was or what he'd been in   He said he was really nice and down to earth.

I genuinely thought 2 of the US women were the same person. I much prefer Claudia, I like Alan and I think he does fit the drama of the US version but Claudia was much better for her understatedness. I’ve watched 2 because I couldn’t be bothered to turn it off but not sure I’ll bother to continue. Was disappointed they didn’t boot 2 off at the beginning.

Wondered about booting off 2 but I guess doing it every time will make it obvious? They might do it slightly different

he almost certainly does not. whoever signed him up for this show is a genius because there is no way he will ever be able to truly understand what the rules actually are. he’ll probably end up winning because no one will ever truly view him as a threat.

for anyone who hasn’t watched this interview of his that went viral a few years back, please do so now 🤣

Oh my. I was going to say he's the Meryl of the group but that's actually very unfair on Meryl
