I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for him. I saw him as Hamlet in the early 90s when I was doing it for Alevel and he was v good. I’ve always followed what he’s been up to since then in the way you do when someone grabs your attention as a teenager! I think he’s a great choice for host of this, bet he can switch from everyone’s best mate to slightly evil in a flash!

I saw him in Hamlet then too (he had been on my radar thanks to Bernard and The Genie)!

Ok, so I’ve just watched the first episode of the US version.
Don’t worry, I won’t be posting ANY spoilers.
But - initial thoughts
- Alan Cumming is bloody fabulous
- mixing “ordinary” people and realty tv randoms was a huge mistake
- Americans are really quite annoying. All the yelling and whooping gets right on my wick.

i haven’t watched any of the us one yet but that fact that ryan lochte in there is killing me. the poor guy has nothing in that brain but dust and feathers, bless him. i am already excited to see him trying to deliberate

Yes! It was too many of them (and multiple outfit changes from the 2 episodes I've seen) for it to just be a coincidence IMO! Going to start ep 3 now

I've just started watching the US one. Bit gutted the challenges are the same as they're my favourite bit, but interesting to see how differently they go from the UK version. The bachelor guy is super hot imo.

Thoughts after watching the first episode of the US version:

It's fine, but if I hadn't watched the UK one (so I know how compelling it could get), I don't think I'd bother carrying on - the contestants are all a bit boring and indistinguishable

Adding the reality celebs distracts from the format a bit. It's just a bit pointless and they're just not as interesting as the normals

Not sure about the choice of some of these traitors - they're going to be sussed out in no time

Alan Cumming is great though and is having a lot of fun

Christian is such an absolute knob end he’d be more likely to accidentally murder himself than be murdered.
On the other hand Kate is VILE. The sight of her grim, surly trout pout makes me want to put my foot through the tv. Literally the only person I like so far is Andi - and maybe Quentin.

Just started watching the first ep of the US version. Not sure I’m too keen on it so far but will no doubt watch it all!
Don’t like the idea of the celebs. Also the thrill of the UK one was that everyone was so unpredictable, no one had any idea who the traitors were. These people are practically sussed out on day 1.

Another thing…. Why can’t anyone spell peoples names properly!!

Watched 2 episodes of the US one. I don't know who any of the reality stars are but they seem to dominate so it's almost pointless having the normals in. Americans also seem way too obvious in the way they react, despite declaring themselves geniuses at game-playing.

The Brits were a lot more subtle which made it work so well.
