So the American version is literally a carbon copy
Great choice for presenter!

His Desert Island Discs programme (on BBC Radio Sounds) is really good. One of my favourite DID and I wasn't really a fan of him before. His father was despicable. But the programme is joyous and he seems lovely.Used to dislike Alan Cummings, really like him now. His autobiography is worth a read, a sad childhood with a malevolent father.
Oh thanks, I will listen. Love him with Miriam Margolyes in the programmes they do together. His Desert Island Discs programme (on BBC Radio Sounds) is really good. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for him. I saw him as Hamlet in the early 90s when I was doing it for Alevel and he was v good. I’ve always followed what he’s been up to since then in the way you do when someone grabs your attention as a teenager! I think he’s a great choice for host of this, bet he can switch from everyone’s best mate to slightly evil in a flash!Used to dislike Alan Cummings, really like him now. It's the same with the Circle. The american version is filmed in Manchester I think.I suppose that's one way of the studio saving money on this show, sharing the same location for UK and US. Made by same production company.
I love how this is still being discussed after it has finished!Ok going to give a long deep dive into my thoughts on the show now I’ve finished it as I’m obsessed and so sad it’s over
…..
Loved the show, binged it in a day! I need to ask.. did anyones else feel annoyed Hannah and Meryl sailed to the winning and we’re just terrible at reading people and situations??? I also feel they put in the least of a shift compared to everyone else. Why did they not realise they where been kept in because they weren’t voting for traitors !!
They annoyed me the entire way through the show, the fact they never brought up the name or a traitor once the entire show even in convo when disgusting who it could be…then they went and won it
Did anyone notice that it nearly always took a traitor to plot against another traitor for them to actually catch a traitor!!! ( hannah and myrel where so influential in this because hannah would always protect will and Amanda and myrel would then follow so that always gave 2 extra votes to someone else).
I think if there is a next series people will play a dumb game similar to Hannah and Meryl. The long game is to befriend the traitors and make them think you will keep them safe from banishment. I think Amos was one of the only reallllly smart ones and he was playing the long game with Amanda .. he told her she was a good judge of character and always asked her opinion , never voted her but think he always knew she was highly likely to be a traitor. He defo always suspected Wilf too even at times he said do didn’t think Wilf was a traitor. He may also of been playing this game with Andrea! I initially thought Hannah was playing this exact game with wilf and on the last day she’d go for him … but nope still took another traitor to practically tell her
I think Wilf should of picked Aaron to be a traitor with him, he wouldn’t of even needed to give up his name or plot seeds etc. to turn on him as people would likely of gone for him Aaron as his name was brought up EVERYDAY (poor thing)…but also I think Wilf and Aaron could of easily got the girls to go for Kieran (maybe not Maddy but myrel and Hannah for sure). Feel like there would of been a lot more trust between Wilf and Aaron and they would of went thought to the final 3.
Another thought, did anyone ever think about when the faithfuls kept saying they actually couldn’t be traitors now they are playing they realise it would be so mentally tough ?
I actually think being a traitor would be less mentally draining because you basically need to be the same as a faithful (aka trying to prove your a faithful) but you don’t have to worry about being murderer by traitors!! As a faithful if you do one thing wrong the traitors can get rid of you! You need to have your name coming up as a suspect and also you need to bring up other faithful peoples names for the traitors not to murder you … all the while proving you are a faithful to the faithfulls!! Way more mentally draining /harder than being a traitor. I know being a traitor does come with guilt tho!
Faves : I loved Wilf, Amanda, Maddy, Aaron, Amos and Theo
Not so keen: Alex and Tom were super annoying, Meryl, Hannah, didn’t like John for how he spoke to Aaron’s but other than that I liked how enthusiastic he was about the game!
Lastly, a question..how would everyone here of played it as a faithful and a traitor? And what would you rather be!!!
I love how this is still being discussed after it has finished!
I 100% would love to have been a traitor. So much fun. Its just a game. I would be shit at it mind you
My worries for next season, like everyone else's, are that people are clued up to tactics and signs. Hopefully production team have foreseen these blips.
Biggest regret of this series was Amos not being recruited as a traitor. He would have been so good.
Would that be veering into The Mole, though?I really think in the next series there should be one unknown traitor. Unknown to everyone. Apart from the fact they exist so a guessing game for the viewer. Their role would be to undermine votes and disrupt challenges (to their advantage financially).
Ooh I don't know - I haven't watched that.Would that be veering into The Mole, though?
Ooh I don't know - I haven't watched that.
Is it any good?
I loved The Traitors - was just thinking of ways it might be new to the participants rather than the viewers tbh. To keep them on their toes
