The Tinder Swindler - Netflix

What if this is all BS - part 1 of a multi-part documentary, designed to see how many people can be taken in? From a very superficial point of view, no way would any of those ladies struggle to find love - the main lady was very well educated, articulate and very pretty; the second blonde lady seemed like a PR person; the third (kick-ass one) seemed like a secret agent - ha!

As soon as his many Instagram accounts get shut down, many more pop up ... he just has no shame, and seems to be winning 'fans' along the way ...

The whole thing is just making me think, "Hmmmm ..."

How is he getting away with this though? I don't understand how he's a free man and these ladies are left footing the bill after what he's done??
He's absolute scum.
It's done in such a way that there is no hard proof he scammed them. His argument would be they willingly gave him money, he didn't force them. Hard to prove it was manipulation. I'm not saying it wasn't, it's just not enough evidence for the court case. All messages between him & girls show they were in loving relationship.

Well not really cause the messages show him obviously lying and scamming them out of money. He also personified a member of a family owning the diamond company and pretending to be a ceo. I’m surprised the company did not sue him, especially since he was forging documents in their name. He still claims he’s the son of the diamond dude and still using his surname. And it’s been going on for years. It’s beyond shocking.

Maybe. But as he said it's their word against his. For some reason he is confident he won't get punished by law and this situation clearly proves this. And yes it is interesting that the diamond company didn't sue him. Wonder why

I just watched it and was searching on here, found this thread and some others, in one they mention “hair fished” and “teeth fished” by ken not smiling on their profiles. Got me thinking the first woman doesn’t particularly look like her tinder profile pictures and then it hit me she smiles with her mouth closed on every single picture.

Spoilers:

I don’t know why - I found her vapid. Not to say I mean to victim blame and that she is to blame for what happened, but I find her having her head in the clouds and the first part with her telling the story took up too much time, as I didn’t find anything captivât with her personality.

The Swedish lady at least had some personality and declined both a physical relationship as well as hanging out in the champagne flies setting.

The Dutch one was a fun watch! I wish she would have given more detail on what their 14-month relationship looked like.

I want to know more about the body guard and the business partner, where the staged pictures were from and the story around all that. And maybe hear from the swindler’s mother again.

I thought it was kind of fascinating. I was shocked how easy it was for these women to access the money to lend him (I know one had a falsified payslip, but the rest?!).

I have an ex from when I was 18 who ‘borrowed’ around 2k from me for car repairs 🙄 that I never saw again & honestly after that I have never lent money to a partner. I can see how these women were taken in though, and of course when your boyfriend has been so generous to you, you would want to help them when they need it.

The GFM is a bit much for me. While I hope they get their debts covered, I already pay a subscription fee to Netflix which enabled me to watch the documentary, so hopefully Netflix will be paying for their participation.

Watched it today and feel so sorry for those girls! But at the same time would like to think you’d question it but he looked so rich etc so believed you get it back, what a massive manipulating C*NT and looks like it’s hardly effected him now if not even more comfortable than before more money a model as his girlfriend he’s come out great and those girls left to rebuild their life !

Agree….. could not stand the first girl! She took up too much time of the documentary

The go fund me page is too much. Don’t do the crime if ya can’t do the time kinda thing… like I mean I do feel kinda sorry for them and wouldn’t mind it the go fund me page helps them a tiny bit ( v small lol) but I might sound evil but why should people pay for their stupid mistakes and lapse of judgement

sorry not sorry 🤣

I agree with what another poster said about preferring that Simon get punished, I would 100 percent want that obviously
