I donāt know. I didnāt love the documentary. Maybe I wasnāt in the right mood to watch it. I didnāt like the layout, found it very confusing and too long
the first girl was so annoying. How she got on that plane I was just like what an idiot
loved loved loved Ayleen, she was so sassy and brill personality.
I think Simons clothes were legit cos didnāt Ayleen work in high fashion? Thatās how sheād know
Glad Iām not the only one that didnāt love itI agree, my sister recommended it to me so me and my fella watched it yesterday. Neither of us really liked it and we LOVE true crime. I am totally against victim blaming but these women, especially the first, were SO swept away with the thought of his rich lifestyle. At some point, especially after just a few weeks, you'd be like duck this drama, byeee!
However if anyone's seen The Puppet Master, I find that was way more shocking and its easy to see how that man targeted and controlled his victims. That one made me cry with how sorry I felt for them.
Would love to know more about the Finnish girl he scammed then appearing on the plane with a child
I mean Ayleen was only sassy after the fact (and for netflix), she didnāt even work him out herself. She still fell for his act and borrowed him 140k (from what I remember). So Iām like cool but I think it was just an act she put on to seem cooler to the audience.
Also I canāt with the second lady, she so wanted to make it happen in the beginning, desperately trying to meet up with him and stuff but then dude shows up with his gf lol. She still couldnāt ditch him but became such a close friends (basically like family!) after a āholidayā together. Like come on.
Either way itās crazy how after all of that he was still on tinder and ig, under the same fake name even. And how come the banks and the diamond family didnāt go after him yet (like at least nothing came out of it), at least after him forging the financial documents and using their and the companyās name. Unbelievable.
I donāt know if I even feel super bad for the women cause the level of their naivety and stupidity was astounding. Like most of them saw the guy only for like few days in total, probably had no idea about āhimā other than him being a lame ādiamon princeā, whoās supposedly constantly busy on business trips. I didnt see any actual personality from him, I dont even believe they were having any meaningful conversations other than āI love u baby I want u to be future mother of my babyā Like basically if he didnt convince them he was super rich they wouldnāt be into that at all. The first woman even went for a bleeping flight to Bulgaria on a first date with people she doesnāt know. And after they had sex he told her to leave lol. And then she proceed to take out half a million in loans for him...
Still, he is such a punchable person I cant wait to see him in jail for years, reputation 100% destroyed and no money. Heās such a trash of a human.
Well that would be a totally different situation though. Here it was their decision after all.We would have so much more sympathy if these women had been hit over the head with a hammer and had their life savings taken from them but because itās a bigger scam we donāt
The stigma needs to be taken away to enable this to be stamped out
I think it said because he asked them to lend him the money, they willingly handed it over and gave him access to the credit cards, he technically didn't steal it they gave it to himHow is he getting away with this though? I don't understand how he's a free man and these ladies are left footing the bill after what he's done??
He's absolute scum.
I would certainly hope one would have sympathy for a woman being hit over the head with a hammer and robbed. These women were not, so I don't get the analogy here. They did not hand the money over against their will. They've since done the sensible thing and exposed him. But for every Cecillie I'm sure there were several others he tried to scam and failed. People do stupid tit all the time and get called what they are - stupid - for it. "Stigma" used to mean something, now it's just a woke buzzword for people who want all the free will but not the responsibility for their choices. It pure and simple theft and we should have more sympathy for these victims then more would come forward and more people could get caught

I had the same thought about why none of these women seemed asked him why his āfamilyā wasnāt helping him. Also how heās funding his lavish lifestyle again and Iām surprised the Leviev family havenāt tried to sue him, or maybe theyāve tried?Who's seen it?
What did you think?
I thought it was really well done ... will look forward to watching the movie too, which is no doubt being worked on as I type (or soon will be, I'm sure).
I know a lot of people will say that these ladies were foolish and should've had an inkling that he was a conman, but when he was so clearly presenting to them that he lived *that* life, he seemed believable, plus they were falling for him and he appeared to be saying all the right things. They're all intelligent women; he was obviously very convincing! Look - he even managed to convince this publication that he was a high flyer:
Real Estate Expert Simon Leviev Shares 5 Tips to Help Aspiring Agents Build a Stellar Career - Vents Magazine
People have the potential to thrive. They have the ability to make stalwarts out of themselves. Allventsmagazine.com
The only question I had after watching it was, why didn't any of the ladies ask him why he couldn't ask his parents or other family members to help with money (through their connections)?
I feel very sorry for them all, but especially the one who was the main interviewee (the one who lived in the UK). She's bankrupt in the UK, and is up to her eyeballs in debt in her home country. I really hope they get some sort of financial reward from all the interviews and coverage.
If there was ever a fund of sorts set up to recoup the losses, it would be interesting to see how it would get divvied up ... a lot of things would be hard to prove.
It's so unfair that he is out and about, living up large, now ... I was scrolling through his Instagram earlier, when all of a sudden *poof* it went private. I wonder how he's funding his lifestyle now. I wonder too, how many others he scammed money from who are too embarrassed to come forward. I'd love to hear what the real Leviev family think of him using their name.
