The next James Bond

Word on the street is that they want a younger Bond this time so will be someone under 40. They want to step away from the ‘too old for this tit’ storylines and have a younger, more energetic Bond next time.
Dream casting for me would be Aidan Turner but he’s 39 so might be too old based on this new criteria.

Honestly dont know now. I always thought Sam heughan would be good and henry cavill obviously but I think both too old for this rebooted bond.

Definitely not idris Elba as he always plays the same gruff type of person in everything he is in. He lacks the smooth and suave aspect. And not Tom Holland, he is great but not a bond.

Regé-Jean Page just seems a bit bland and although his eye brow does some good work, im.not sure he has enough charisma and acting talent for bond.

If going for a black actor then Chiwetel Ejiofor would be better, but again too old for what theyre looking for.

It's never a big name anyway, it's always someone whose career is more on the rise or in smaller films/tv.

I lost interest in the franchise, when Danial Craig took over the role of Bond. The films have changed with the times, and not for the better. They should end the franchise now.

I kind of agree, I really liked Daniel Craig as Bond but none of the movies had a particular strong story, bond girls were mostly bland models with no character or screen presence. They often seemed to go back to more damsel in distress stereotype which seemed odd for modern times. The villains were also quite weak. I also think trying to link every film by one over arching story backfired.

Especially because it was retconned Into the story.

The arch of Spectre only being introduced in Spectre because Eon got the rights to Spectre back. And then the arch again in NTTD going above Spectre, just made it even worse.

anything but Henry Cavill. He would be awful.

Sam Claflin could be good, he’s a total chameleon and could see him in a Bond role. Nicholas Hoult too.

I have always followed Bond but I absolutely hated what they did with NTTD. Everything about it annoyed me and the arrogance of DC to think he could
kill off Bond
was just incredible. Bond to me is like an old stately home. You don't own it, you are just the current custodian.

In order to recover from NTTD they have no option to go really quite young with new Bond because they have to make it different.

( Sean Connery was 32 and George Lazenby was 29 when they became Bond, so it's not a new concept ... it's just people in the 60's always looked like they were 40 🤣 )

Yeah I loved Craig as bond but I thought all his movies were subpar. In trying to be different and modern they forgot to write good stories

For me there was 2 1/2 good Craig films. casino Royale, Skyfall and parts of NTTD.

QoS, well, the less said the better. Spectre, forcing the story arc of Spectre just because they'd got the Spectre rights back was a mistake.

NTTD had good parts, but another over arching villain of the entire era above Spectre and above Quantum, it had gotten ridiculous by that point.
