Ooh this will be my Friday night watch I think! I’ve heard people talking about this saying it’s wild
 
One of the weirdest things I’ve watched. Was I wrong to fall in love with him in his present day interview ? Was he gay ? Does that explain why he didn’t mind not having a physical relationship with her for all that time ??? He’s married with kids now. He came accross very well and the absolute weirdo who catfished him was no where near sorry enough for me !!!
 
Im half way through the first episode! It seems like one big episode of catfish so far?

Can someone tell me, did they explain how the catfish managed to speak to him on the phone? Or did he just put on a feminine voice. And also did he visit her in a hospital or something?! Sorry I’m watching whilst eating dinner! And I don’t know whether to use he or she, because the catfish is a she now!

He went from being nominated for a prestigious football award to being a laughing stock missing the first draft where he would have probably been losing income and his confidence which as a sportsperson is vital to performing
 
I didn’t get the feeling Manti was actually that into his “girlfriend” or was in love with her. Didn’t he basically break up with her before she faked her death? They also appeared to have gaps where they didn’t speak. I feel bad for him re his career, but that was obviously what bothered him more than being catfished
 
I thought it was suspicious that he announced to the press the love of his life had died but never mentioned that they had never met??
