The City / Whitney Port

When your leg is the same size as a 7year olds then I think it's time to start worrying...

Wait, are her and Timmy actually having another baby? Did I miss something? For the sake of that poor innocent child, I hope they aren't. Being a mother is clearly something she does not enjoy.

we have been floating around a theory that she is being sneaky (and entitled and lazy, etc) and is using a surrogate to get a daughter. I hope it isn’t true, too.

Whitney why is your family running around barefoot in the FS Palm Beach lobby?!? So feral. I go there yearly and this is gross. Where they are is quite a walk from the pool (and even further from the beach). Slip your sandals on and don’t act so entitled.

I’ve been doing a rewatch of the city for the first time since it was first on. It’s so interesting to me that Whitney used to be very level headed about her relationships, would be firm on her boundaries with jay (more or less, I can’t fault her for things he actively lied to her about and hid from her, she’s not omnipresent). All to say that for an early twentysomething, she was very mature and really seemed to know her worth.

it kind of scares me to see how she’s regressed, my assumption would have been that she had a good base of self esteem to work off of, and would have continued building on that. It’s just crazy to know she ends up with Tim. His personality is just … disagreeable. How did he even land her? Do we think he put on a charade until he had her hooked? It honestly scares me. I just picture being a mom to a daughter, thinking I’m out of the woods because she’s 25 and secure in herself, only to have her marry someone like tim and have to placate him while also basically being the breadwinner.

Oh man. I didn’t know about all that. Do you have anymore info? I actually never watched the city. No even their rewatches. Now I think I should lol. I was wondering why people here seemed to hate Timmy.

I agree with you 100%!!!
It’s terrible!! Considering he was a producer(? had some role on the show?) so knew/saw how confident etc she was at the time and that’s how they met - and he’s just managed to grind her down over the years to this codependent, submissive, lacking in self esteem LITERAL SHELL (due to him enabling her extreme ED) of herself! 😔😔
Following her for so long/watching her shows at the time, and then their YouTube videos, her decline is just very upsetting 😢

You absolutely must go back and watch it! There was one woman - Erin-someone - who made such great TV ... she loathed Whitney and seemed to permanently roll her eyes whenever she dealt with her ... this Erin clearly knew her stuff but she was the stereotypical mean, know-it-all, girl in the office. The PR lady, Kelly Cuttrone, was scary.

Anyway, great TV; 10/10!
