I know, it’s all been a bit mad with the lives lately. I’ve given up with Pippa and Manrika now, some good tidbits but just can’t be arsed/don’t have time to sit and listen to them for hours😂

Things I can remember from all their waffling:
• Manrika claims voting tally low was justified because she always voted tactically and always voted her mates low on the circle 🤔 💩
• doesn’t regret how she played and said she would do the same again, seems to think people just hate her for game playing
• Manrika felt she got an unfair edit
• on the final blocking they didn’t just knock on all their doors, they actually opened them to shit them all up. Found this really funny for some reason🤣
• Pippa could smell Hashu’s cooking from her apartment.

Watched Manrikas live TikTok for a bit. They got Thursdays off, usually after a blocking and they could do what they wanted all day. They never knew the time so would often do blocking hangouts at 3am but the next day they got a lie in. She hasn’t spoken to Hunter since the final but when he left he made a separate video for Manrika as well as the group one apologising for the argument. The apartments are on opposite sides of the bulding - 2 to a floor not next to each other like shown in clips.

They are all in a group chat except for Natalya as she doesn’t like all the messages so they talk separately, there’s apparently no bad blood and once they talked they made up and she said Natalya is beautiful and it was annoying her how stunning she was while watching (she said in a jokey way). Manrika got in touch with the real Felix, Natalya didn’t introduce them but she sent him a drunken voicenote, and they had banter but he’s in a relationship!

They all got a fee for going in, just what their wages would of been for those weeks where they were there.

she’s going to do some lives with the players today including one with Natalya which will be interesting!!!!

There was a quick shot during the final of manrikas diary. I took a picture - so yeah you can see that they get a ‘down time’ day once every 7ish days

I watch the circle because I'm not interested in the love island botox types. And actually you tend to find its not them who do massively well either in the circle or with the viewers. Tim, Woody, Ella, Alex, Hashu, Andy, Sammy, Freddie, Paddy etc either fit patterns of generally honest, genuine, friendly people or geeky and quirky or clever and strategic or a mixture of all those things. Its not an automatic the hot guy/girl will win (in any of the senses of winning). I don't think Manrika quite got that.

I don’t get it

I don’t understand the pure hatred Manrika has got compared to nothing that Natalya felix got. A part of me genuinely believe this is due to underlying misogyny and racism in our society .. do you not agree. I mean felix played a dirty game getting a circle gf really early on and playing on her emotions and getting her into a relationship
 
I think the difference between the two was natalya wasnt saying to the screen- oh I love you so much, your my bestie and I've got your back forever and then in real life sticking her fingers down her throat and saying, you are such a bitch and I hate you. Natalya was playing a game but she wasnt pretending to have someones back and then sticking a massive knife in it - when she said she had someones back she was being genuine about it

I genuinely really liked Manrika at the beginning.... but her true colours came through when she blocked her ‘geeza girl’ and started being so manipulative.
Natalya did play a game but you can tell she felt really bad and there were a few episodes you could see how upset she was. I also don’t think she meant to get a circle gf and her plan was to flirt with all the girls but Manrika started al the circle bf / my action man talk. You can also see from Manrikas insta stories that she is not a nice person and she’s only reposting stuff that shouts her out where the rest of them are all shouting each other. Plus I think a majority of people wanted Syed (my favourite, I love him 😍) to win so I truly don’t think it was about race.

I said something about this in the previous thread. We've had really devious, strategic game players in the past. Sammy/James last year was really ruthless, and Freddie made regular comments about how he would throw people under the bus and was very much in it to win it. They were honest to themselves and thus to the viewer about how they were being as a person in the circle.

Manrika, however, would go on about this being about her being her genuine self, about how she wasn't a bitch and she hated Gemma because she sensed bitch...while also acting in really bitchy ways herself about it. She was really judgemental and down on Vithun for anon snaking while being guilty of the same thing. Much of her narrative drive to herself, to the viewers, and to her fellow circl-lites was Manrika the victim, Manrika the vulnerable. Meanwhile she was down-rating and blocking her allies (her choice of Felix over Tally was her biggest mistake imo). And even after choosing Felix over Tally, she seemed to pretend not just to Pippa, but also to herself, that she's a girl's first girl.

If she'd gone in honestly to us and to herself as I'm going to shit stir, and snake and manipulate that would be different and it is away of playing what is a game. But she was trying to sell herself as an Andy to herself and to us while acting like a Freddie/Sammy. That imo is the problem.

Hashu came across so warm-hearted.
 
I think the reason people felt for hunter was because how many times have people thought someone was their friend and then discovered that said 'friend' has been bad mouthing them and in reality hates them but was stringing them along - it happens in school playgrounds among young teen girls all the time and probably has happened to a lot of the public and reminded them of old wounds. She wasnt even playing a character - she was that girl from high school who made your life hell
 
I actually liked Manrika to start with during the whole Blue/Orange Tally thing, it was when she turned on Tally over nothing then proceeded to do the same to Gemma, Vithun and Andy whilst telling them all they had her 100% loyalty that me and most people started not to like her. That’s due to her actions not her race.
 
Manrika is doing lives with Joey, Hashu, Dozza, Tally today I think. I'm so busy today at the times of the lives but still want to know the gossip so hope one of you lovely people will keep an eye out. If possible, could you comment about saving the lives if you can't remember stuff. Thanks in advance.
 
Some points from the Manrika/Joey IG live:

- Asked if she and Hashu are together, said they speak every day but no one can meet up due to COVID so have to wait and see...
- Manrika told Andy about the triple threat convo but didn’t get aired
- Manrika later said to Andy she thought Femi’s book cover was horrendous but that convo also not aired
- She banged on about how it’s really obvious when a man is pretending to be a woman in the circle as she can tell how women speak (so knew that Gemma was fake straight away)
- Apprantly it’s easier for a girl to pretend to be a guy though...
- Claimed to be portrayed as head over heels for Felix but actually suspected something was wrong and had her guard up
- Wouldn’t have gone in as a catfish as didn’t trust herself not to slip up
- Mainly ate chicken wings and halloumi (not really gossip but halloumi IS LIFE)
- Joey just had to turn the comments off 15 mins in because one person called her a snake and a game player a few times
- Joey said every player has received some form of hate
- Manrika doesn’t see herself as a celebrity and will still walk to her local shop and Maccy d’s
- All the cast are going to do some video about calling out being kind on social media etc and Shabhaz has filmed/edited it(?!?!)
- Were asked if they could hear the fire alarm when people set it off but neither of them did
- Confirmed you can’t just have a chat with anyone at any time
- Weren't annoyed about editing but were annoyed about the context, apparently Manrika gave a lot more explanation about why she rated Tally low but it was never shown

completely agree, i couldn’t even imagine the hate she would of recieved 😳 don’t like the girl but it would of been 10x worse, no one deserves that. no matter how much of a bitch they are 😂 her behaviour on love island would of been shocking tho, she’s the furthest thing from a ‘girls girl’ so she would of been hated.

There will always be an element of underlying misogyny from some people but for me, I just didn't like Manrika. She did not come across well at all and the final meeting with the other contestants cemented that. She isn't someone I'd want to be friends with.

Hunter/James saw her for what she was as soon as they met. She was a very different person in the chats to the one she was in real life.

As someone struggling with lockdown weight, how do you spend 3 weeks in a flat with a diet of chicken wings and halloumi and not put on any weight? Either she has the metabolism of gods, she's not being honest (trying to be #notlikeothergirls), or the rest of her diet was kale smoothies.
 
More of the Manrika/Joey IG live...

- both don’t have any regrets about how they played the game
- took Manrika two months after filming show to get back into normal routine (hard to sleep as the show keeps you up late for blocking and games)
- Manrika strongly believes everyone who opens up a social media account HAS to open it with a form of government photo ID
- Joey “150% agreed” with that
- Manrika thinks footage about the ratings she gave to people was shown more than anyone else’s ratings (which is why she looked bad)
- Said she read into every situation too much and was convinced Andy was out to get her
- Joey could tell Manrika was a recruitment consultant because her first message to him came straight away when he joined and was like a sales pitch :ROFLMAO:
- Manrika has no problem with a catfish that is there to tell someone else’s story (eg Joey, Hashu, Dot)
- The thing she’s learned from the experience is not everything is as it seems and not to react straight away
