Do you think Stella is those things? That’s interesting, I quite like her 😆. I think she’s tough but it would be a really hard thing to manage a family farm like that. She is being paid to manage it but the family still want to manage it. It’s a common problem on farms and really hard for the person who is outside the family. There have been a few times when I’ve wondered if she’d try to find a way to get the farm passed to her. The archers version of succession.

I’m all seriousness, I think the archers is long overdue a succession planning storyline. It’s a big part of farming and often causes a lot of drama.

Sadly I do, I say sadly because when she was first introduced I really liked her, thought she was just what Home Farm needed. It’s more her character that disappointed me, I really didn’t like the way she and Pip were mocking Brian behind his back a couple of weeks back, yes alcohol was involved, but it went beyond a joke for me, so soon after all the nonsense of her being fired and reinstated I really think she could have been a little more circumspect, also it rather seems to me she is enjoying the friction between Adam and Brian a bit too much.
A few weeks back during a chat with Pip she outlined in great detail what she wanted Home Farm to become, so yes definitely has her eyes on the prize, I mentioned shade as I have a feeling that will be involved.
But yes, so many modern day farming stories which could be highlighted, Brian and Tony Archer are in their 70s and David Archer has to be mid 60s, all still working and we hear nothing about after they retire, unrealistic.

Haha any convo with pip rubs me up the wrong way. I find her character so annoying.

I am pleased there are more female leadership characters other than the ever absent Debbie and Ruth.

I feel like the archers writing team can be a touch misogynistic, especially when it comes to women’s looks. Sneering at Natasha getting fillers and I seem to remember Lillian getting some work done and David sniggering about it. Pretty gross.

I’m a bit confused about one storyline. Is Kirsty in Amsterdam with jacob’s brother? I thought he was just a fling ?

Kirsty went away for a holiday/dirty weekend with him. She’s been back at the rewilding this week

It wouldn’t be unreasonable to be cross with Ruth, but tbf it must be horrible being Ruth at this moment.
My favourite cat ever looked exactly the same as the one in your picture, it’s many years since I had to say goodbye to her, a real sweetheart.
 
I would 100% unreasonably blame whoever let go of the dog but then feel really bad about it down the track. It was such an avoidable situation.

I wonder if there is any possibility of a love triangle between Ruth Stella and pip!! Probably a bit too sensational for the archers. Would be interesting to see David’s take on a relationship between pip and and stella

Just looked up the actress who plays Stella and it’s Nathalie from Eastenders who was married to Barry.

I had to skip the parts when he was being put down, as others have said it all seemed so sudden and unnecessary. The only reason I can think is that they’ve realised Stella is just coming across as a cold hard witch and they need to make her a bit more human and relatable. A love triangle with Pip and Ruth would be fascinating!

On a different note, are we about to find out Brad has undiagnosed autism?

I find it really annoying how suddenly he has all these symptoms. I feel it would be better if they did a more subtle job. So many people mask their autism I’m not necessarily a harmful way. I’d love it if he was accepted for who he is and people were just kind to him because he’s always so sweet. A world away from the brad in the background of the old days Tracy Horribin.

Speaking of which, that was another really snobby sneary thing the writers did. Always portraying Tracy as a tart and her two wild chavvy kids Brad (presumably after Pitt) and Chelsea (her version of Brooklyn)
