Previous contestants have said they do only get the twenty minutes but then they sit around the house with crew getting ready for TV basically, getting mics on etc

Some of them definitely get up earlier to shower and then go back to bed. There was a shot in an earlier episode of someone's pillow being soaking wet and I'm hoping it's because they'd just washed their hair 😂

I’ve read before that they aren’t woken up by the phone call, it the production team coming in and setting up cameras and lights ready to capture them being ‘woken up’ so they have plenty of time. I don’t know why they have to pretend they only have 20 minutes to get ready anyway. What does it add to the programme?

I think that just proves that the show has really had its day. The tasks are repetitive and the candidates unlikeable. Nobody relates to this show anymore. I'm only half watching it. My husband fell asleep during last night's episode because it was that riveting 😴

Time for it to be axed but the BBC are out of ideas on how to retain their audiences.
