Maybe hiding the fact most were hired for the program as an actor than for their business ideas? They only need the odd real one that Alan can invest in. This year just felt faker than ever, as others have said, although could equally be we are more aware of it as knows reality tv.

I think they did that last year as wasn’t their only 4 of them in final 4 so I feel lord sugar had to fire more in certain weeks then expected. I feel that episode was to fill a week so final remained same date stated
 
Victoria's definitely going down the influencer route, is she serious with the first suit here 😂😂



Also she said that Linda told her she was very good at sitting there and looking pretty but not for anything else, but it didn't make the edit. So she had that as well as the comment about going back to her stewardess job and Alan Sugar's comment about keeping it as a hobby 😠 like yes her business plan was terrible and unoriginal and full of errors, but these comments are really rude and degrading.
 
This series has to have been the worst yet in terms of candidates. I'm not really arsed at all who wins it. Marnie gets on my nerves, but I do think she will win. I was surprised Dani didn't make it to the final as I'd have put money on her getting there from the first few episodes but then her business plan was a mess.

This year as most of the posters have said has been really bad. My favourite week the interviews was a total let down.

I really miss Margaret and Nick they were professional and funny without trying so hard IMO

I half wondered if some of the plans were created by the producers, when they are so different to what someone does now, and made for entertainment. Thus, was given this purely as part of the script, and again why we don't see fuller interviews as these were never meant to form businesses. Maybe Dani didn't expect to get so far as people pulled out, and originally was due to leave sooner. Then a few things were changed around. I wouldn't be surprised if the final two were known by the time filming began.
 
Re. Susan Ma I really liked her at the time but from what I remember she was fired before the final because she was a bit timid or seen as a bit of a pushover? I might be wrong, may have to rewatch. I don't even remember who else was in her series!

ETA: oh just googled and it was Tom the inventor who won that series. Tbf he was great too and still stands out as one of the most memorable winners.
 
i’ve only watched the interviews episode as i couldn’t be bothered to watch it this year - but i thought that they were really harsh on the ladies. it’s fine to talk about their business plans and give feedback and i know they are kinda harsh usually, but dragging their past job, and keep interrupting the girls just seems unprofessional. the ladies were visibly uncomfortable..

But Sugar invested in her company which has been very successful.

I used to work for someone who has similar suits to the first one and would be all over that like a rash
