Has anyone else seen this? It's a true crime drama series based on the case of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. It premiered on Hulu but is also available on Amazon Video.

More info below as I don't want to ruin it for anyone who wants to watch!

Dee Dee Blanchard is overprotective of her daughter, Gypsy, who is trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her mother. Gypsy's quest for independence opens up a Pandora's box of secrets, which ultimately leads to murder. The stranger-than-fiction true-crime series is based on a 2016 BuzzFeed article that detailed the shocking 2015 crime. Oscar winner Patricia Arquette and Oscar nominee Chloë Sevigny star in the Hulu original series.

I'm sure you can get a free trial of Hulu for 30 days. May be worth it as it's really good!

I watched this, it was amazing!!! Don’t read too much into the real story before you watch though, it’s more of a surprise when you watch it! It’s so so good!!

I watched this, it was really good. I already knew all about the case from watching the documentary “Mommy Dead and Dearest” which I also recommend.

Yesss, I loved that one too! I love true crime and it's such a unique and fascinating case. Joey King and Patricia Arquette did an amazing job portraying Gypsy and Dee Dee.

Yes I have. I did find a few of the episodes quite slow but I still really enjoyed it

Totally agree, I watched The Act before I'd seen any of the other shows or read any information on the case and I think that's why I enjoyed it so much. It's almost unbelievable!

I already knew of the case but my son saw the trailer and wanted to see it so we watched it together. I signed up for the free trial of Starzplay to watch it but it took us ages to actually finish it so I ended up paying for 1 month subscription. It was very slow, but was a good depiction of a fascinating case

I'm really interested to know how Gypsy will cope on the outside. She's engaged to a new older man now (whilst in prison) and appears that she doesn't quite know the different between love and attention.

The drama was good and scarily accurate I think.
