Anyone watch this repeat from 2014 earlier this week? Loved it the first time and thought it was equally good now. Not usually a fan of romance dramas but David Morrisey and Sheridan Smith were fab. Also a nice change to have a not so perfect ending where they end up together and instead they just each go about their own lives and that's that. The affair more or less released him from his crappy job and her from her crappy boyfriend. More shows like this please BBC.

I didn't particularly like the ending of the show. But otherwise I really enjoyed it.

I found the ending where Carl still got to be with his family and Sally got a new man felt like a bit naff to me.

Ryan, Sally's original bloke, what a one dimensional character. Decided to forgive Sally saying it was easier to forgive than worry about the money and effort gone to organising the wedding.

I wondered if they had the ending because it's a bit more like real life. Affairs don't always end with the two cheaters running off into the sunset together. Shame Sally just walked off instead of going to say hello at the end haha. Ryan was an arse 😆 didn't come across as very likeable.

I didn't even want them to run off into the sunset together.

Sally and Carl both still clearly fancied each other.

Ryan was awful, I found him the worst written character, no development, no likeable factor. Nothing.
