Something must be bothering him because there is no way that he should be losing to Moutet like this.Jannik looks close to tears, I swear. It’s like he’s not really on court yet. And obviously, the crowd is going insane. I hope he’s ok, but this is truly weird.
Maybe it’s the recent injury flaring up Moutet is playing well, but Jannik isn’t giving him any fight so far (he‘s just managed a break, but I’d say that was more because Moutet made mistakes).Something must be bothering him because there is no way that he should be losing to Moutet like this.
When I first saw the score my first thought was that it's the recent injury flaring up again.Maybe it’s the recent injury flaring up Moutet is playing well, but Jannik isn’t giving him any fight so far (he‘s just managed a break, but I’d say that was more because Moutet made mistakes).
Do you think he will retire from the match? Not sure I can keep watching this he’s in trouble
Maybe. He doesn’t move badly, but the way he didn’t run in the first set makes me think that something must be up. Maybe the injury flared up in training and he thought he could still play the match. He‘s definitely cautious, so yeah, he might retire.Do you think he will retire from the match?
I think Moutet was on the adrenaline rush in the first set but that has gone now as he is making more errors and IMO Jannik will now win in 4 sets.but I think Jannik is determined to do this by sheer will-power and because he knows that Moutet can’t possibly keep up his level of play from the first set.
I guarantee Novak will win in 5 sets as I have seen this from him too many times before.
Exactly you can never rule him out of a match as he always seems to find a way even when he isn't playing well.Yes, you just can't rule him out until the last point has been played.
