Tenet

It's no where near as good as interstellar or inception right? 😬

Looked up news articles during the end credits and glad it's not just me that struggled to understand the speach. Poor sound mixing making it difficult to hear the dialogue is the last thing you need when the story is deliberately confusing to encourage multiple plays! Although I'm not sure I'll bother watching again unless there's a new audio track (does that ever happen?).

Also why do people keep pronouncing it tenant? There's no second n!

In short didn't find it that satisfying and fell short of expectations.

I thought it was an amazing cinematic experience but the story line was far too confusing. Our cinema did a reshowing of Inception, which I’d never seen, prior to Tenet coming out and it was absolutely amazing both in cinema and its story!

So, I agree!

Action scenes were all great, that looked like a real plane being crashed rather than a CG plane or a miniature. But needed way more character development. The protagonist caring so much about the wife? Seemed odd. And would have been good to see more of the bad guy dealing with cancer because he came off as a generic Russian villain. I didn't feel anything towards any of the characters.

The whole forged painting thing still makes no sense to me 😆

I wish you could change the sound levels of dialogue, FX and music like on a computer game. As my hearing gets worse and movies keep turning the dialogue levels down it's even harder to understand.

With some smart TVs and hooked-up sound systems, you can indeed change particular sound fx, a bit like they used to have on those old fashioned hi-fi stack systems with graphic equalizers and spectrum analysers.

Trouble is, it can be a bit of a faff going through the onscreen menu options and selecting either certain preset sampled sound fx, or to create your own, as every programme is made with its own set of sound criteria.

Haven't seen Tenet yet, but have heard good things about it. Inception was a bit meh for me - nice concept and the fx were decent, but apart from a nice ending the story was nothing special.

I've got a lg TV and it's set to the clear voice sound, but it's not great really. As is taking one sound track and doing a bit of on the fly half assed fiddles. I think it really needs three or so different isolated tracks to get a good result similar to what you get in video games, but I'm no expert I'll just complain 😆

It was the first film I saw in the cinema post-lockdown! A strange experience in my mask. Treated myself to IMAX it was mega to see on the big screen. The sound was awful though, borderline painful on my ear drums, couldn’t hear a word whilst they were out sailing! Not the best Nolan film but a good film to get people back out in to the cinemas I thought!
