It's clear that Megan is afraid to be alone. I'm sure she has some deluded thinking that if she stands by Sony while he's in prison then that will prove her loyalty and he'll never leave her because of it. It's the ultimate sign of loyalty in her eyes. I bet she's expecting a proposal on the day he's released. Not sure how she's going to cope. In series 7 when Tel was away for one week for work she said she didn't like not having anyone else to cook for besides the kids. Her whole identity is wrapped up in being someone's girlfriend.
