Iā€™m sure some people start from 18 months onwards and heā€™s about that age isnā€™t he?
A friend tried ā€˜elimination communicationā€™ with their little boy when he was around 10 months šŸ˜³ heā€™ll be two in March and heā€™s still in nappies. She boasted for ages that he was half potty trained but we never readily saw him use it. I know every kids is different but I donā€™t know what is the rush for them to grow up.

Yeah 10 months is just ridiculous šŸ˜šŸ˜‚ kids wonā€™t do it until theyā€™re ready either .. some do potty train young though, (not at 10 months I doubt) šŸ˜‚ surely they wouldnā€™t even understand

EC is actually really interesting and can be great! I thought it was ridiculous at first though šŸ˜‚ Personally, I started toileting my first at nearly 2 and my second at about 14 months and thatā€™s worked fine for us šŸ˜Š

Iā€™m sure Jeremiah isnā€™t one yet? Or have I missed her posting his birthday? If heā€™s talking and communicating to Emma when heā€™s done a pee/poo then I donā€™t blame her starting now (although when the new baby comes itā€™ll be hard to carry on with the potty training). Think maybe sheā€™s making more work for herself starting just when the new born is coming. My little one is 2 soon and Iā€™m just going to wait until summer because itā€™ll be warmer and sheā€™ll have much better communication skills.

I think the theory is that they use cues when then need to go so itā€™s learning the cues. A bit like feeding. I had to explain to my partner about kids being ready cause he thought itā€™s just one of those things you do and teach them.

Iā€™m not laughing at the point youā€™ve made, Iā€™m laughing cause my dog has learnt cues to do her business! Imagine a child being told ā€˜wee-weeā€™ and they bomb it to the potty šŸ˜‚
