i just didn’t know you could reapply i live in a council property so no shade. i just thought these things were really hard to come by nowSassi got rehoused because she moved back in with her mum as couldn’t afford private rental. That is literally the whole point of housing associations/council properties. As long as she didn’t owe money from a previous council property what’s wrong with her being housed againsame with the woman mentioned above.
I think it’s just a longer wait rather than harder now because of longer lists but most people can apply for council housing/housing association homes. Single or married , kids or no kids, it doesn’t matter. It can differ whatever area you’re from but I think if you earn below 40ish grand a year you can apply x
my council are frauds they actually tried to make me not go on the list and then tbf everyone around me was like you’re not gonna get helped that’s why i thought all this!
That’s so bad . Yes I’ve had friends who were single young mums and because they had jobs they were told they should just ‘go private’ and they would have to argue almost and say no I want social housing thanks. I think people have an ideal that you have to be on full benefits to get a council house x
