At the council they only give you bedrooms for children who permanently live with you so if you are a weekend Dad then you cant ask for a 2 bed property if its just you, regardless of if you have 2/3/4 kids sleeping over on the weekends.

My friend got given a 2 bed without children and a dad I know who has his child on weekends got given a 2 bed too.. It must depend on area and luck of the draw

Ahh ok, must vary area to area! I used to work for my local council and that was the lettings policy, if you were a single person with 0 kids you could only be allocated a studio or 1 bed, even if you had kids over on weekends, they only had a responsibility to house the person looking for a home and not any kids they may have that live with another parent.
 
I have previously worked in housing - obviously there is the banding system (ABCD ETC...) single and on benefits = 1 bed, single 1/2 kids on benefits = 2 bed, working with any amount of kids or no kids entitles you to as many bedrooms, for example a working single mother of 1 child could get a 3 bed house. A lot of it comes down to the bedroom tax. And then there’s the amount of children.. the genders and ages are taken in to consideration. I can’t speak for all housing associations/councils but I’d imagine a lot of them adopt the same policies
 
I sound harsh and mean but why is she acting like an inspiration and giving A level students advice when she’s gonna have spent 3 years getting a Maths GCSE 😭😭 bragging about 1 English GCSE is cringe

Single female with no kids here and I managed to get a 2 bed flat. Yes they offered me a one bed but it was quite a bit away from family and work and was in an area known to have loads of drug dealers and drama. To be fair though I was classed as a care leaver at the time so I had help to get them to push to put me somewhere closer to family and work

Like well done chloe but A levels are so much harder than GCSE hun maybe leave your bragging for GCSE results day.
A level bragging is Jeremy clarksons thing
