I feel like I’m really defending amber today 😂. Buuuut I think you could really see how depressed amber was at some points which would explain why her house got on top of her
Hahah it’s okay, I like hearing people’s different opinions. I’ve definitely made it clear in these threads that I’m not ambers biggest fan, I just struggle because in my eyes I feel like she brings on a lot of her own problems herself. When I watch her sometimes I just want to shake her and just tell her to focus on herself and stop chasing the idea of having a boyfriend. Like most of the girls, if they stopped chasing the men in their lives they’d be really good mums and it’d get rid of all of their stress.

Off topic but I just burst out laughing randomly because the scene where Dylan and Tel had an argument popped into my head and Dylan says “go get back in your girlfriends car” and Tel slams his car door in a paddy. That’ll always be my favourite moment, 10/10 to Dylan for swift comebacks 😂

I can’t see that we’ve been shown anything about these girls that would make Chloe seem like a better mum than say Amber for example? Again, it just seems like people equate Chloe’s financial situation with being a good parent which she hasn’t worked extra hard for or gone above and beyond...it’s all been given to her practically on a plate. No offence to her, she seems ok and obviously loves Marley but so do all the mums on the show. I feel like it is a bit of a class thing on here sometimes, like why are Chloe and Mia better parents in any way yet they seem to be placed higher on people’s lists? Being a loving mum has nothing to do with material things and to be honest the worst parents going can make themselves look doting on social media. You can be a ‘chav’ (hate the word) and a good parent, we all have different tastes and upbringings. Chloe is very lucky, she is from a stable and affluent background and what has she really done with it? She flogs shite on Instagram the same as the rest.

Tbh I just see chloe and Mia have more stability for their children than the rest of them do. The rest seem to dabble in drugs, shouting and screaming in front of the children, constantly on and off from boyfriends etc.. Megan rams her car into her children’s dads car why they’re in the car, amber feeds Brooklyn fizzy drinks and is constantly having Ste round there kicking off, sassi and Darren constantly screaming at each other I suspect drugs, Emma consistently puts her children at risk. I don’t think Shannon is a bad mum tbh I think she struggled with Charlie as dead weight dragging her down but can imagine she’s doing better now. Not a class thing for me at all tbh

Yeah, definitely the way the parents act in front of the kids plays a part in my rating anyway. Amber and Ste literally scream at eachother in Brooklyn, the same with Megan and Dylan. I remember in one of the episodes, Megan and Dylan were arguing and Megan said that Kenzie was in the back of the car saying “mummy we should just go home” or something like that. It’s really heartbreaking to hear that a 3 year old child has more sense than 2 parents. The other scene were Sassi and Darren were arguing and screaming in the street and Sassi was holding Zena’ya at the same time.

Even if the kids are too young to actually remember the argument, definitely when they’re old enough they’ll watch the show with or without their parents permission. I’m sure they could type into google “(parents name) arguments on Teen Mum UK” and see it all for themselves.

I hear what you mean about classism. I think that sometimes as someone who grew up very working class - perhaps that’s why it rankles with me so much when Chloe is being bratty and entitled.
HOWEVER. I’d still rank Chloe as the best mum on the show too, and that is because she is the only one as far as I can see who has consistently made a concerted effort to keep Marley away from any arguments and drama. She absolutely tries to ensure there aren’t any arguments in front of him and that he is in a stable environment, and I recall her calling Jordan out very sharply when he kicked off once in front of Marley.

Chloe has a lot of privileges that have made things easier for her and I can acknowledge that, but I also think that she is the most emotionally mature despite having her wobbles. I cringe watching Ste and Amber’s behaviour in front of the boys, for example; even though it’s clear they both adore their boys, they have absolutely no regard for a stable environment if it means they can’t scream and shout and be right. I think that’s also true of Sassi and Darren and Megan, Dylan and Ree in many cases. I also think it’s clear that Chloe and Jordan don’t dabble in riskier behaviours like drugs, nor have I seen them breaking lockdown, which contributes to me feeling like they’re more responsible.
I feel sorry for Emma in some ways but her behaviour and parenting has been indefensible because she’s put her children at risk many times in many ways AND chosen to ignore it when people tell her. Money and comfort definitely makes it easier and less stressful, but I do still feel Chloe and Jordan deserve an element of credit for the way they’ve prioritised and tried to parent - even when they’ve gotten it wrong sometimes too - because in my eyes, they are the most focused on their kid above all other petty drama.

The reason I rate Mia high is because she seems to involve Marliya in a lot rather than palming her off and her friends are involved with Marliya rather than it being two separate parts of her life. She seems really laid back and has kept a really level head.

They don’t fill baby teeth surely? And he’s too young to of lost any yet
They do, I think it's a different material and done with the intention of it falling out. If a cavity isn't filled it can just get worse and worse as food gets stuck in it etc. I definitely had a filling in my milk teeth and it just fell out when the tooth did.

she really ignored her other two children ?🙂😳

She said it’s because it’s her first love but it’s the fact she didn’t do any post for her other kids to acknowledge them too. I get that her first child made her a ‘mum’ but since she has a family and is openly posting one child as well as Dylan, why ignore the kids she has with him? Abit strange but to each their own I guess, don’t think it means she loves her other kids any less (I hope) just a different type of love/appreciation but who knows lol
