I think some of the replies are so rude and bitchy on here! yet they slag Charlie off for being the same 😂 a few times people have asked questions or had their opinion and people have snapped back

exactly this. Feel like I’ve had my arse ripped apart for asking a question!
I never said Charlie leaving HT was a bad thing, just that it shocked me. I’m glad she’s giving H some quality time.
Im too anxious personally to leave my baby, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Nor is there anything wrong with leaving. I enjoy my time with my baby. And not all of us have a second pair of hands to help give us a break. Just asked if these things are easier the second time around, as I wouldn’t know that.

honestly, don’t feel bad! I’m an anxious Mum and never left my first at all until he was about 10 months old. My second was in SCBU so I had no choice but to be apart from her but even then I was with her every hour I was awake.
It’s each to their own and there’s absolutely no need for bitchy comments towards you.

Harlow’s car seat could rear face, with the air bags off and she’d then be perfectly safe in the front. I understand wanting to sit in the back with a newborn (and awful as it sounds, with the bruising it’d be harder to see if his airways were compromised in a mirror) but not at the expense of your older child’s safety. Forward facing in the front really isn’t safe at all, nor is the baby’s car seat with all that frilly tat attached.

My third is 7 weeks old and the longest I’ve been away from him is 15 minutes to nip to the corner shop. I couldn’t leave a week old baby either, it isn’t just you. At a week old I’m normally still clinging to my babies with them on my chest, near enough growling at anyone who comes too close 😂

I had a bollocking the other day because I asked if she would still be bleeding! I feel like you’re not aloud to ask questions on here without someone piling up 🙄 someone even replied don’t you have kids? Well I’m currently pregnant hence why I asked 😬 I wouldn’t worry about it you were clearly only asking a question!

Don’t stress about the bleeding after by the way, it’s not that bad I’ve honestly had worse periods! And I’ve had births with tears and no stitches and a birth with a bad tear and stitches and it really was fine both times. If you have any other questions just ask! Not that you did ask in the first place but you get me 😂😂 x

I’m shitting myself about the birth and afterwards!😂 not that I have any choice he’s got to come out one way or another 🤣x

The first 24 hours are the worst for the bleeding, get some period pants/nappies. After that it’s not too bad, my first period after giving birth was probably worse than the pp bleeding😂 I was so nervous for giving birth too but in the moment your instincts kick in and you find the strength to do what you need to do and get through it. Good luck x

No one even mentions the first period after giving birth, duck me I felt like I was giving birth all over again😂😂

I was always told that the first period is worse if you formula feed, the bleeding after birth is worse if you breast feed. Something to do with the uterus contracting to clear out during feeding, so there’s less left in there for the first period to put right.

I didn’t get any after pains, I was in hospital for 4 days after giving birth and they kept asking me if I wanted pain, I was so confused as to why I would need them 😂

I was in and out within 24hrs with both mine and they brought paracetamol every 4 hrs I didn't need them , the pains didn't actually kick in until about 3 or 4 days later

This is really interesting, I’ve somehow never heard this before. I’ve given birth four times and formula fed (not through choice) four times. After each birth, bleeding was minimal; in fact I don’t think I needed pad beyond day 3 (other than it was more comfortable on stitches actually).
I did end up returning to hospital each time with my first post partum period. Honestly, no one told me about this with my first and somehow it still took me by surprise for my next 3 babies. The massacre. Each time I needed internal scans to see if I’d retained any placenta. Even ended up on a drip twice. My first periods were significantly worse for me than labour. Every time.

I feel like no one mentions the after pains either, felt like I was in labour all over again 😭 had to go to the doctors for pain killers

Honestly I felt mine were worse than labour! she was my first too, im dreading it after my second comes in January 😂😂😂

Pains get worse with each pregnancy, I didn’t get any with my first, second time they took my breath away for a few days
I’m currently pregnant with no 3 and reading the after pains

I’m due my 3rd in Jan!

Not sure if that's accurate generally but definitely was to my situation, first period wasn't that bad but oh my god the bleeding after birth went on foreverrr. Every time I though it had stopped 2 days later it would start again 😅😅

State of those lips😂😂
