I’m kinda gonna defend Ellie here. I know that she doesn’t speak to her mum for whatever reason and a bad mother daughter relationship can really damage relationships around you. It happened to me. I was cut off by my mum 2 years ago after her and my dad split and being brought up by her with no affection, I struggle massively towards my partner because I’ve never received it from my mum at all, and very minimal from my dad. I kinda do hope they can work through it

I’m assuming this is a joke?. But if not I feel the need to say that it annoys me when people think having a disability means that you should have to explain yourself for everything you do. Our government treats disabled people with contempt already. Don’t kick people who are already down.

I agree he needs to make more effort with Tommy but we have seen him starting to make attempts with the football etc.
Admittedly that’s only the start and he has a long way to go!

I think taking her on a date was also an attempt at making an effort - and he was met with rudeness and an ungrateful attitude. In order to make their family unit better, making an effort with Ellie is arguably just as important as making an effort with Tommy and she just didn’t care.
