I wouldn’t say Blackpool is very poor. In my work the department for ASD and adhd has a two year waiting list in general and it has gotten long since lockdown. We’re lucky though because the kids that are under Camhs for other stuff like depression, anxiety etc due get prioritised but we have lower services such as charity services that do 6/8 week parenting course for the parents waiting for their kids to be accessed.
Amber spoke on how she finally been referred to Camhs, I'm just wondering why it wasn't done sooner, or maybe the first initial assessment they didn't think it was needed.
Amber would benefit from possibly been allocated a social worker, or some sort of support worker. Hopefully she's now on the right path to getting the support she needs
I work in Tower Hamlets & have got to say the Camhs service there is very good

It may not be Camhs, a lot of people do get mixed up with mental health services and calls them Camhs. My work is technically part of Camhs but we aren’t actually Camhs but people would still call us Camhs if that makes sense? I’m just assuming if the trust in her area is similar to mine the ASD and ADHD would be seperate from Camhs but would technically be seen as it.

Yeah you could be right there, Amber mentioned Brooklyn's been referred to a primary mental health worker, who will then assess him on the Autism and ADHD spectrum. But a primary mental health worker still sounds similar to Camhs if I'm honest, as they also specialise in emotional & mental health issues, so can see the confusion here 😭 but definitely Camhs is more for specific mental health issues.

Primary mental health would most likely be tier 2 Camhs is more of a secondary mental health care and is tier 3.
As I said before I’m not sure if Blackpool is similar too my area but ADHD and ASD are separate to CAMHs. Otherwise most CAMHS would collapse if they had to work with kids with mental health problems as well as kids with ASD/ADHD. You could also be under both Camhs and the ADHD/ASD

I haven’t seen the latest eps as I’m in Aus so not sure I can watch it without pay TV, but I wonder whether Brooklyn’s challenges actually stem from trauma. Symptoms of trauma can be very similar to ADHD, and the level of arguments they would have at such a young age so frequently in front of him would be absolutely terrifying for a young child. This also would’ve been very stressful and upsetting for both parents, and impact their ability to respond to his needs consistently and appropriately. But at other times, because they are good people who want the best for him and love him very much (albeit unable to control their own emotions in front of him), he would’ve gotten an appropriate caregiver response from them. I’d be curious as to how that impacted his attachment, and coupled with the trauma, has impacted his behaviour and emotional regulation. Additionally, I don’t know that either parent had the capacity to have firm loving boundaries, so this could have impacted even further.

This is all just speculation from my observations of course and some background knowledge in this field, but I just find ADHD is often suspected, when in fact if there wasn’t trauma and they had a warm loving stable caregiver responding to their needs, the difficulties might not be there. I am not denying that in some cases ADHD is present and impacting significantly of course, but I just hope this is being looked at, and that both parents can get the support they need to support Brooklyn.

Right, regardless of Brooklyn's possible diagnosis and any other issues, Amber needs to make a few changes. The house needs gutting and cleaning, get some bin bags, throw the crap away, open the windows and crack the Hoover out! Next up, get those kids into a routine, in their own beds, with a proper time for sleep and decent meal times.
Brooklyn may be difficult to deal with, but he can still be told a firm NO, as can Hudson, who also seems to be slightly off kilter when it comes to behaviour. She seems to spend a lot of time sat on her arse watching the chaos and not dealing with it, then ste turns up and they shout at each other and that’s that.
Just a few improvements will help her and the kids.
I 100% agree with this, seems constant chaos,
If Brooklyn is on the spectrum he will need some sort of order, I think she is very depressed and needs some help, but I think sorting the house etc would help her massively!!!

Guys can we calm down on these intense detailed ADHD convos 😭
Why? I haven’t participated but think they’re really interesting to read :)

If something is going on with reeann and her kids and she’s just there posting videos of herself pouting in to her camera then wow…she’s a real piece of tit.
I think she’s off her face

I noticed Dylan had both his and reannes kids during the week (his stories) and then on Friday but he doesn’t have them over the weekend (again his stories out drinking) I also noticed Megan has her kids this weekend too, and no sign of the kids on reannes stories apart from herself posing.. soo where are the kids? With Dylan’s dad? Was the guy in his stories with the kids at the park Dylan’s younger brother?

I never followed rea but is it normal for her to post the kids or not? Just curious if it is normal her not posting them then it’ll be obvious somethings up if she suddenly starts doing it
