There’s been no secret messages under tables or in different languages etc that show how the task can be done this year apart from the one with getting the liquid into the vase. Like the task with the switches and golf tees I thought for sure there was going to be something in the room to tell them what switches to press but there wasn’t. I do think in previous years at least one of the contestants would have had the thought to just not press any of the switches though. The ‘don’t” switch was a good twist though.

Yeah the switches was the best task in a while. They seem to be into the compilation vibe this year for their reveals

it will be revealed in episode 8

There’s got to be something in Alex asking if they’ve found the secret task yet? I haven’t clocked whether he says it to everyone or just certain contestants?
I've been convinced from the start, that Sue will find it because he's been asking her so much more frequently about it than the others and the camera always zooms in on the task when he asks her but not the others.

I could be completely wrong but I feel its something to do with how they then address Alex, but I'm going off Julian constantly using more elaborate ways to avoid saying 'Alex'...

I loved Susan on RADA - "I know it's annoying but it's literally all I've got" 😂
Susan is so likable, happy for her to get this exposure.

Julian was also his snarky best:

"One of your better efforts"
"heterosexual male banter"
"Do you want me to bend over?"
"Do we have a problem?" "No, Sir"

Joe Wilkinson was on Richard Herring's podcast this week and they talked about Taskmaster and what I found interesting was that he got 4k per episode, so that's 40k for a 10 episode series during the Dave run and most likely much more these days on Channel 4.

That’s not a bad fee at all given that the tasks are filmed over the course of a few days, as are the live shows.

It's especially great for the many up and coming comedians (I think Fern said she'll get a new kitchen from the taskmaster money). 10 episodes is just a really great opportunity to get other bookings too.
I'll always rate Lee Mack for getting Mike, Sarah and Jamali on Would I lie to you right after their Taskmaster season together.

I don't think I've seen those episode of WILTY! I need to go watch them. All three seem perfect for that format.

They didn’t have 10 show runs in the earlier series though so he probably didn’t get 40K but that’s still higher than I would have thought Dave could afford! If everyone was being paid the same (which I doubt) then that’s 20K an episode before Greg and Alex get paid too!

Channel 4 pays for it now don’t they?

Unless I missed something it was Richard who said (referring to the prize task when he offered the winner a trip to Pompeii for two) '3,500 quid, which was most of the money I got paid' (for Champion of Champions) and, when Joe said wow, 'looks like you didn’t get paid that much on Dave' which could have been referring to the shorter run but also could be about the money per episode. So technically I guess it could be anywhere between 4K and 6K?
