Does anybody know what is the situation with Ash? How did he come about knowing James? I always found it odd how he sits in with James, yet isn't the presenter and never does any presenting of his own. What is he paid to do exactly?
 
I am a very disappointed that Cristo still has 'psychologist' Emma Kenny on his show, I hadn't heard her for a while and thought he'd dumped her but no luck, she was on yesterday.

I think Eddie Nestor also had her, or possibly still has her on his BBC London show. Must have a look at her thread.
 
James Whale does come out with nonsense. He said we shouldn't be erasing history and questioning the British Empire, but the idiot was doing the same thing when speaking about the England flag and how England should get rid of the flag. Talking about the England flag representing disgusting religious wars and pain etc. Not the sharpest tool in the box is he.

I think he just rambles on about anything to get a reaction. I wish Talk would get rid of him. Ditch James Max while they're at it (who keeps showing himself up every time he covers another presenter outside his graveyard slot) and we then have a very good lineup. The shock jock persona from Whale just seems outdated.

I wonder why Whale is on this week anyway, all of the other weekday presenters are off.
 
Ive stopped listening to Whale.
He talks bollox and his sidekick Ash gets paid to do bugger all.

I thought Christo waffled on about nothing but those two - awful.

I was glad when Penny smith left because was a waffler as well.
Time for Mr Whale to retire and take Ash with him.

I don't get the point of Ash on the show, just mumbles occasionally and that's it. Always feel a bit sorry for one of the other presenters when they cover for James and have Ash alongside them despite presenting their own slot perfectly well without a sidekick. Cristo is OK with a co-presenter since he tends to ramble on when on his own but I don't think it worked when Kevin covered for James.

I generally enjoy Kevin O'Sullivan's shows but he's starting to irritate me now with his "err" "aah" every few seconds.
I had put it down to him being a relatively inexperienced show host but he's had plenty of practice now and he seems to be doing it more than ever!!!
 
Love or loathe Julia, both cover presenters have stuffed it up and got significant attention for the wrong reasons when she’s off - Mike with concrete-gate and then James Max’s abysmal interview with Posie Parker yesterday. I think they expose how good of a job she actually does.

James Max was a total embarrassment yesterday, but strangely came away thinking he had done really well. Reminded me of Prince Andrew With Emily Maitlis.

Posie Parker was brilliant.
 
Rob Rinder is off again tomorrow, I think for the 6th time in a row. I wonder why he is rarely there. Maybe he's quietly leaving and Cristo will eventually stop saying that he's just filling in for that show. TR presenters often seem to leave through the back door.

I noticed that Darryl Morris has been doing the 7pm slot in Times Radio, covering for Phil Williams. I wonder if he's moving to Times Radio full time 🤔
