I enjoy Kevin in the evenings as there isn't much interesting to listen to then (and evenings is a time slot where I usually have time to listen). Not the best political presenter but I do like his opinions and sometimes does some lighter items. Kevin's mid-morning show at weekends was also good (that one was a bit lighter) but his breakfast show didn't seem to work. If there's a weekday slot I dislike, it's the late night slot - I still miss Cristo on it and think they either need to bring him back or get some new talent on that slot, the last week was so good with Cristo & Claudia-Liza both filling in but now it's business as usual again and there's no show for me to listen to post 10pm.

I loved Kev's weekend shows.
Especially when he and Ally Ross were on together. Hilarious.

I always seem to miss him since he was moved to evenings.
I love it when he goes on a rant about something.

I remembered to put Kevin o'Sullivan on tonight.

He does have good topics.
Later he's got a psychologist on to discuss the Alec Baldwin tragedy.
How do you cope if you have killed somebody in a situation like this.

Not just the usual stuff you get on other shows.

I remember listening to talk radio when I was young on a battery powered radio under my pillow when I was supposed to be sleeping. I was probably about 11 or 12 and used to listen to the lateral thinking show. Can’t remember it’s real name, I used to love it!

James Whale called Cristo, Cristo Fullfat again 🤭😬 then Ash said that could be a hate crime lol. Cristo will want James fired from TalkRadio for that.

Speaking of JW & Ash, I wonder if Paul Ross will do a handover with them. Doesn't seem like he usually does yet he was in talking to Claudia-Liza every night last week, same when it was Cristo on that slot.

Haha yeah he didn't seem to before James was off either. Bit weird. James has probably pissed him off as well 😄

James Whale really is unhealthily obsessed with people who don't take the vaccine if the TalkRadio Twitter timeline is anything to go by. Literally no other presenter speaks to guests the way he does as well (both paid guests who come in for interviews and callers).

Yeah I don't agree with his stance that everyone should have to take the vaccine. There are people with genuine concerns about it. On the flip side, I also disagree with those that are opposed to the vaccine but push their views onto others. I think we should just let people decide what they want to do.

People drink alcohol, take drugs, smoke etc, despite knowing what it may do to them, but it should be their choice to do it. As long as that person isn't pushing their enjoyment of drugs or alcohol onto me, it's all good.

I think the best presenters/shows are Darryl Morris and Peter Cardwell. They will read out texts that are disparaging to them, without complaining.
They also listen to the contributors, be they some of the self-righteous "experts" who only have one point of view that won't be changed... or just normal people who call in to have their say, without being patronised.

It's a good flow of back and forth conversation and is great radio but without the hysteria that are made for click baiting radio snippets, that a lot of presenters aim for.

I think Kevin was really rattled when Whale had a dig at him when he said something like "you are not are not a trained Journalist and cannot complete a sentence with out saying eh"

He's right about Kevin keep saying "eh."
Its really annoying.
But I thought Kevin WAS a trained journalist. Didnt he used to be an editor and then a showbiz correspondent in LA and then a tv critic in newspapers for years before he got this gig?

Anybody else find Jeremy Kyle a little smarmy? Something about him that seems off. Also, he's barely ever working, always off. Money for old rope. Ok always off is an exaggeration, but seems every few weeks he's off. Can't put my finger on why he is smarmy though, he just comes across like that. Maybe it's just me.

He had 2 weeks off but one was because he had COVID and the other was when he got married. I think he’s having his annual leave just now, same with JHB. Hopefully he’ll be on more often in the New Year, not quite at Dan Wootton or Ian Collins’ level of absences yet at least.

As for being smarmy, I think he might be trying to hard to be liked. He knows that he’s persona non grata in most of the media so probably wants to make what he thinks is a good impression at the only place that will employ him.

I'm looking forward to Cristo on Christmas morning, he'll surely have knocked back a few breakfast bevvies so will be in a fun mood.
