Sometimes James can be very annoying. He had someone come on the radio and say how we can't control these people, they have different beliefs and would die for their god. Trying to change them is difficult. James shuts the guy down and tells him he is stupid. Why does James Whale have such a hard on for us going to war? This fetishism for war among many is very weird.

This utter plank was on TR again this morning.

Abdul from Leicester. Quoting crap from the Guardian and saying how Afghanistan will be a better place (rolls eyes).

Why do they continue to allow him on?
 
I gotta say, I've listened to Rob Rinder a handful of times since he took over the 4pm slot and I think he's doing a really good job. I actually prefer him to what I used to hear from previous presenters of that slot. Mark Dolan was too shouty and argumentative. Wasn't a great listen. Rob seems to have a calm demeanor. I like it.

I like him too, he can handle any topic and can be fun, I liked his singing segment yesterday.

Now Bangla at DS is trying to compare him being banned to cancel culture. Really? Why on earth should we allow morons like this on the radio? The comments about women in Afghanistan vs the UK was a step too far.
 
Just found this thread, excuse my ignorance is talkRadio any good? Judging from their Twitter they look like a far right propaganda, highly intolerant, foreign-state sponsored media station. But I’ve never listened to them so may be mistaken… or thinking about another Twitter account.
 
Additions to the schedule appear to include Rob Rinder on Saturday mid-mornings (seems like he's taking Patrick's place) with Jeremy Kyle on Mon-Thu drive and possibly Cristo for Fridays? (he's doing that show next week and since he used to do 5 late night shows a week, wouldn't surprise me if he goes up from 2 to 3).
 
What have they done to the music associated with Mike Graham's show?

Anyone listen to Jeremy Kyle yesterday? Seemed quite comfortable on radio (though that's actually his background), didn't go down the Whale route with callers so hopefully stays that way.

Yes, he seems much more natural on radio. I hated his TV persona. I honestly thought I'd dislike his radio show but and I can't believe I'm saying this, I enjoyed it and he came across as much different and it seems that he's fully on board with saying exactly what he thinks. I think he may become my fave drive time presenter so far. He's got the right mix for me (y)
 
Rob Rinder now doing Friday drive, not sure about the Saturday 10am slot, they should have just kept Calvin Robinson but they only used him twice (I think because he & Trisha butted heads). Seems like their political editor Peter Cardwell is stepping in but not sure if he's permanent as a presenter or not.

With all of TR's latest recruits being from TV (Rinder, Kyle, Goddard & Claudia-Liza), I'm guessing they will all likely be involved with the new talkTV in some way. 3 are from ITV and did some niche shows there plus can all do politics and then Claudia-Liza is a newsreader, maybe she'll be doing some of these hourly news bulletins they are talking about? I'll be interested to see what happens with talkTV as it launches and how it affects talkRADIO, Piers is obviously a big get for them and I hope that we can see the likes of Mike Graham & Julia contributing (even if not presenters) since they already do TR.
 
I just tuned in to TR now, I'd forgotten that Cristo was on today. Does anyone know if he's mentioned the Steve Allen /Tilly Ramsay situation.

I had to laugh when Mike Graham referred to Ian Blackford as Mrs Doubtfire, due to his croaky voice in Parliament during the week. :ROFLMAO:

It also begs the question, what was he doing in Parliament if he wasn't well?
 
Mike Graham makes me laugh when he impersonates Meghan Markle.

Was enjoying the Kevin O'Sullivan show when he was on at the weekends. He had a good mix of guests and topics.
Don't like his evening timeslot.

I enjoy Kevin in the evenings as there isn't much interesting to listen to then (and evenings is a time slot where I usually have time to listen). Not the best political presenter but I do like his opinions and sometimes does some lighter items. Kevin's mid-morning show at weekends was also good (that one was a bit lighter) but his breakfast show didn't seem to work. If there's a weekday slot I dislike, it's the late night slot - I still miss Cristo on it and think they either need to bring him back or get some new talent on that slot, the last week was so good with Cristo & Claudia-Liza both filling in but now it's business as usual again and there's no show for me to listen to post 10pm.
