Was listening to some of Mike Graham's show earlier. Is that Tonia Buxton a real chef? I saw she was a celebrity chef, but what the hell does that mean?
 
Mark Dolan has left for GB News, Patrick Christys has the drivetime slot for now but rumours are going around that he's filling in for the summer and then Jeremy Kyle will be taking over in September. Wasn't a fan of his old TV show but will give him a chance if he is in, just hope he isn't another Trisha and does fit in with the tone of the station.

Julia & Kevin have both been off recently but business seems back to normal otherwise. Wish they'd cut back the adverts though.

James is just letting rip now more than ever, poor fella could go anytime but, soooooo awks. I think they should just leave out the hand over. It adds nothing.
 
Whale's on air act is one of a prick and was before his recent health issues (which I do sympathise for) - sorry not sorry and I seldom want anyone to actually be sacked but I hope we see the back of him on TR by the end of the year like with Mike Parry. I'm personally pro vaccine and have taken it but his judgemental behaviour almost every night of his show is disgusting and he seems incapable of debating anyone with different views.

Evenings is now actually watchable since Kevin has the slot.

That was awkward with Kevin again. I believe people can have the choice whether to have vaccine. Bit immature to call someone who doesn't think like you stupid.

He seems to have got worse and I don't know how long TR will keep him employed. More and more nowadays he's unable to give a good argument and instead just goes straight for the insults. Maybe that's why they moved him to his preferred later slot.
I feel bad that Kevin has to deal with him every night at hand over.
Why was mike parry sacked? Contract renewal? Orrrrrrr?
 
Love Talk Radio! Who remembers Jamie East followed by Eamonn in the afternoons? They used to have a different co-presenter - Saira Khan etc. Used to really like that … and Matthew Wright - what happened there?? Also those 2 from google box used to do Saturday mornings - that was good too!

Parry was due to start a new show (weekend mid-mornings) at the end of February when Penny Smith left and they moved Kevin up to breakfast. At some point in the day or two after he announced it, he made some comments on Twitter that saw him binned. It was claimed on Popbitch that he suggested that Mike Graham had a drug addiction and also suggested that some of the other presenters had no talent. He swiftly was replaced by Patrick Christys on the 10am slot (before he'd even started that slot!) and hasn't been seen since. I'm not saying that Whale would go to that level but I do think he needs to be careful because being rude to other presenters probably will do him no favours.

Wowz 😲 surprised as the two mikes we friends I thought? Also he really didn't come across as someone like that, I thought he was an easy going chap. I don't miss him though as I never Tuned in esp for his show.

Matthew Wright filled in for David Lammy, on LBC a good few weeks ago.
 
I think that Matthew Wright didn’t get his contract renewed - he seemed quite unpopular with a lot of the TR audience and basically none of Mike Graham’s mid-morning listeners stuck around for Wright’s afternoon show. Kevin was his co-host and got kept on though.
 
Patrick Christys no longer there, now followed Dan & Mark to GB News. Rob Rinder has the drive show for the next month. Calvin Robinson & Richard Tice are being used on Patrick's old weekend shows, I guess as trial presenters for future. They need to refresh the weekends ASAP so giving some new presenters a chance is probably a good move.
 
I don't like the right leaning bias to it. Julia Hartley Brewer and Mike Graham are particularly smug.

Patrick wasn't a main presenter for long 😯
Seems like this is going to be a thing now. GB poaching presenters but I suppose it could work the other way too.
 
I have just turned off TalkRadio, I didn't know who I was listening to but the presenter's OTT hey isn't it a beautiful sunny day type intro, then straight into talking about the Plymouth tragedy was such an insensitive clunky gear change it was unbearable.

She was a good listen today. I could never listen when she was not in the studio as the sound was so bad.
