That was incredibly sad, I remember hearing James on TR, around that time & he sounded very frail for quite a while.
Must have taken some steel for him to continue to be fair.
 
Looks like they are making a few changes to the weekends aside from the addition of Trisha. Badass Women's Hour has been axed and Nick de Bois appears to be moving into that slot, no idea who is getting his old 5pm slot.

Sunday drive time and weekend early breakfasts now empty and being used by shows such as "Clashes of the Week", bit embarrassing when LBC get some fairly interesting weekend signings and TR are going with highlight shows. Of all the regular guests they have, surely one is willing and capable of doing their own show once or twice a week?
 
Caught some of Mark Dolan's show at teatime, and enjoyed it. Some good variety of topics, the discussion about killers Fred & Rose West was interesting.
 
I've tuned in now to listen to Cristo's last weeknight show before he goes to weekends. Sounds like it will be a good show, sort of a roundup. Although I will tune away when Emma Kenny is on.

Mother Foufas will be on after midnight, I hope I can stay awake to hear her.

He is now talking about how badly he was treated doing overnights at BBC Radio London.

That's the thing about Cristo, can be a really good listen, but tends to bear a grudge and have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. LBC,BBC etc.
I'm in a bad d.a.b radio reception area & TalkRadio disappears at certain times, especially with high pressure weather, blooming annoying.

I like his grudges, a loose cannon is always fun! He was laughing recounting the BBC London experience.

Can you listen online? I'm on the app at the moment.
 
Cristo will be back next Monday for a 10pm show as James sometimes has to take days off because of his health. I wonder how a Cristo/Ash show will look.

How was it? (I like Cristo but am rarely up that early on weekends so didn't get to listen).

Hopefully he enjoys it more than Kevin did, got the impression that Kevin was glad to move off that slot and seems much happier on the evening show.

One things for sure, his handovers won't be so awkward any longer. Those handovers with James Whale were terrible haha.
 
What I like about the thought police is that they don't always agree with one another and squabble. I know it could be seen as tedious but it is refreshing that they are not up each others arses.

I tuned in on Saturday morning but then got busy and didn't really listen. I tuned in this morning and quite enjoyed it, he does the papers, takes some calls, but I think he will need to be less outrageous than he could be on overnights.
