Sharon said Ozzy has one more operation to have and then he'll be home.
She also said after the opening night of the new channel she had dinner with Jeremy Kyle and then got a taxi home.
She didn't say back to her hotel.
She said 'home.'

I took that to mean they are back in the UK

Yeah I read about them returning, just didn't know how long that would be. Seems like they are going to be based in UK long term. I know Kelly was living over here for a while as she did celeb Gogglebox. Anyone know about Jack?

Kevin doesn't seem to be happy either if his Twitter is anything to go by - he went a bit OTT trying to promote his weekend shows last week and was insistent that he was ready for a new chapter but he's liking/retweeting a lot of posts from people who want him back on evenings.

I actually wonder what many of the people behind the scenes at Talk think about the changes.

He's not been a radio presenter for that long so he's not as slick as some others when a phone line goes off or a zoom call plays up, but he's had a long career as a journo and has loads of contacts, so the guests and topics on his shows have been good.

I think he has built up quite a following, so it was a bit of a shock to see him shoved to one solo show on a Sunday and a co-hosting gig with Mike Graham who is already on 5 days a week.

When Sharon was interviewed by Piers the other night, she said she had lost all her work (even charity gigs) in the USA when she got fired from the Talk for her comments about Piers leaving ITV.
She was totally cancelled.
So I guess they left the States back then.

Is Kevin O'Sullivan still writing columns? I wonder how much Kevin is being paid for a once a week show. He has to earn money elsewhere, so I'm guessing he still does write columns.

I'm sure they've had multiple homes in the us and UK for a long time so it's not quite a binary thing where they live.

I thought they were building a hospital wing in their la home for Ozzie.

I didn't know about the hospital wing thing. They've certainly made a lot of money - well, Ozzy has anyway. I'm surprised he's still alive. He was on everything (drugs) back in the day by the sounds of it. Maybe biting a bat's head off will protect him from Covid, the absolute madman. Ha.

The Trinity Mirror Group let him go.
I remember signing a petition to reinstate him.
They didn't.
He set up a website doing TV critiques. I assume he made money from Ads on that, but I don't know.
He also did some YouTube clips where he sat on a bench with Mark Borkowski both having a rant about current affairs.
I assume he made money from Ads on those as well.
The bench thing was a precursor to the Thought Police thing he now does with Mike Graham.

He found his way to Talk Radio and his website kind of dried up and the bench rants stopped.

His wife (Henrietta Knight) is a writer but I don't know if she's a journo or a book author or what.
Maybe she's making enough money for him to take the cut down to fewer shows?

I didn't know about a hospital wing.

What makes me think they are fully UK based is
how she was talking about the sacking.

She seemed so sad and hurt and as if she felt there's nothing for her in America now.

All assumption on my part, of course.

I think Sharon Osbourne will be freelance if her contract on Talk TV allows her to.
can see her being a panellist on other shows, Loose women maybe.

Unless they cancelled her too?

She seemed pretty upset about her achievements in life being trashed and her legacy now being that of someone sacked for being accused of racism

What did Sharon work as while she was with Ozzy?

She went to drama school.
Then started working for her father - Don Arden. He was a promoter/manager.
She first managed Lynsey De Paul - and hated her. Famously did a poo in Lynsey's luggage when on tour.

Then she managed ELO for a while and the Quireboys amongst other artistes and bands.
Her Dad managed Black Sabbath etc.
Sharon later took over managing Ozzy.
She was known to be quite the tough cookie. A hard nosed negotiator.
She could hold her own in the ruthless world of rock music and did so for years.
She masterminded Ozzfest and stuff like that.
She was known as one of the top managers of rock bands in the world.

Then she suddenly appeared as a tv personality judging talent shows and forged a whole new career.

Jeremy Kyle has announced on The Talk that he'll be doing a new primetime show on talkTV. Wonder what time slot that will be in. Will be interesting to see if he sticks with his drive time radio show. Maybe better off if he does the talkTV shows and then that opens a door for Cristo or Kevin to come back to the weekday schedule. Or Nick de Bois who would be great for drive time.

I actually enjoy The Talk as a format and at least the debate is fairly civilised compared to those at GB News (probably because they haven't cast the absolute dregs of broadcasting/journalism). Not sure it needs Sharon though.

I don't think that the James Whale/Ash show really translates to TV.

Ratings for the 3 new shows are low apparently.
And it sounds like they started low and have dropped even lower.

Sharon is out of her depth. Now she's flown to Ozzy's sick bed, I doubt she'll be back.
Ozzy's health issues can be her excuse not to return.

Thanks, interesting to know. She's just known as Ozzy's wife, but she seems like a savvy woman.

Oh yes.
Her Dad was notoriously tough. Dangled people by their ankles out of his office window if they crossed him.
That type of thing.

She is famous for having little Jack poo into Tiffany boxes and sending them gift wrapped to people who crossed her.

She and her father had a massive falling out and were estranged for years.

She's the brains behind Ozzy's success, really.

Guido trolling TalkTV viewing figures. LOL. Even Stephs Packed Lunch has better viewing figures. :ROFLMAO:

All the 'woke' and 'cancelled' stuff just doesn't cut through. Piers keeps banging on about him being cancelled yet he's had multiple tv shows both here and in the usa, so what's he on about? Then his commerical on the radio is him moaning about why is everyone moaning? Moaning about people who moan is hardly ground-breaking TV. It is quite amusing to watch them act all outraged, it's almost as if they get paid to do it ...

The low viewing figures are pretty much to be expected while they build up an audience. It does highlight that the excessive promotion in the Murdoch owned affiliated papers hasn't worked. Even GB news got (relatively) high views the first few days.

It's no different than GB News to be honest. They are the same, anti-'woke' and trying to be different. The same old guests, really nothing particularly new. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy seeing new news shows, but the anti-'woke' stuff is a bit irritating.

I say this, but I do enjoy Mark Dolan's show on GB News, along with the headliners show every night. Talkradio/TV can be pretty good, depending on the presenter.
