I used to avoid the Jeremy Kyle show on TV but I've heard him a few times on Talk Radio and to my surprise have enjoyed listening to him.
I was surprised to find I don't mind him on the radio, except when he gets really shouty I tune away. And I'm glad his team have pulled him up with his overused comments - JK bingo, "my old man worked for the Queen Mother", "my parents are dead" etc.

I also like Rob Rinder.

I love Rob Rinder too!

A few others get a bit shouty as well as Kyle to be fair.

Jeremy has good energy. He's not really your traditional drive/breakfast presenter (people like Julia, Ferrari & especially Eddie Mair are much more business like), I saw someone on Twitter describe his style as "smashy, nicey, what's your favourite biscuit?". Made me laugh but it is true, he's got a fun, relaxed style which maybe needs another time slot. I do like him though.

Rob Rinder is a favourite of mine, he's a very eloquent guy and I love listening to what he has to say. Always make a habit of listening to him when walking home on Fridays. I feel a bit sorry for him that some TR listeners have written him off as the male Trisha Goddard purely because he isn't another Kevin O'Sullivan/Mike Graham replicate (not a dig at them, just that any credible station needs a variety of presenters).

I heard Rob Rinder a couple of times and enjoyed his show very much. I didn't know it was him because his voice sounded different to his Judge Rinder TV show.
He's great on Talk Radio.

Dr. David Bull is currently covering and I think he's doing a great job with the coverage - presenting it in a much more balanced, accessible way. I feel like with Mike, Kevin & Rob Rinder, it was constant depressing pessimism all day and pretty much impossible to listen to.

What's going on with the schedules? I only managed to listen to it a bit this morning and Mike Graham was on before 10am with Kevin doing Mike's 10 till 1 slot.

Thought Jeremy was taking a long weekend but turns out he's off all next week so probably just cover. I imagine they also wanted someone with journalistic credentials for the morning shows at the moment so Mike got moved up and Kevin on mid-mornings.

Thanks.
Makes sense.

Mike Graham has sadly taken a downward turn recently. I don't know if he's getting more crazy callers and I know Ukraine can be a hard topic that brings out the worst in people but he doesn't seem to have decent debating skills and is just resorting to bickering and cutting callers off à la James Whale.

Yeh. When he bickers, I switch off.

When that annoying Giles Coren and wife podcast Ad comes on, I also switch off.
Im switching off rather a lot lately!

Also a woman called Susan keeps calling in and she seems to be on every show. She's getting on my nerves too. Same comments every time.

Kev O'Sullivan is shouting and bickering at the moment as well.

Really liking Rob Rinder, though. He's class.

I heard bits of Howard Hughes' show last night, I can't remember the exact comments (I was in a fever, non-Covid btw) but I got the idea the he thinks his show won't be on for long. Did anyone else listen? I love his show just for his voice, I put his show on last night as I was feeling so poorly, he should do podcasts for the ASMR market.

I think he might be replaced with them just confirming today that talkTV and talkRADIO will simulcast. Usual radio offering in the daytime broadcasted on the TV then Piers & Sharon Osbourne are shown in the evening slots.

I wonder what this means for Kevin. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Whale still did a show, just a tad later since TV channels don't do much beyond 11pm/midnight but that means the end of Kev's evening show which I'm bummed about. I hope he gets to stay at the station.

I prefer him on Sat and Sun to evenings in the week.
Where's the info about him being shunted out, please? I'll have a read up about it.

Sharon Osborne? Really?
Not sure how I feel about that.

It doesn't explicitly say that Kevin is being shunted out but given that Piers & Sharon are having their shows simulcast on the radio in the evening, it means that Kevin's show is no more. Could be that he stays with the station in another slot.

I couldn't find any info apart from announcements that Piers new show is launching.
Kevin on holiday this week.
I hope he comes back to Sat and Sun.

Nick de Bois is covering Jeremy on drive time this week. Dare I say that I think he's a much better fit for that slot? Him to do Mon-Thu with the current affairs, politics focus and Rob Rinder on Fridays with a lighter touch would be great for the time slot.

Still havent seen anything about what happens to Kevin O'Sullivan when Talk TV with Piers Morgan starts.
Anyone know?

Now confirmed! 7pm-10pm on Saturday with Mike Graham and then a solo show 4pm-7pm on Sundays.

Both he and Cristo (5am-7am weekends) are really being under utilised in this schedule which is disappointing given that both were key parts of the old talkRADIO. At least they've kept their jobs though and with the amount of holidays that Piers takes, no doubt there will be plenty of cover shifts available!

They should have let Kevin keep his Friday night show rather than have 2 repeats of Piers on a day that he isn't even on. I like Piers in small doses but they really seem to be rolling out the red carpet for him.

As long as Morgan isn't shouting people down, I can cope with him.

Not sure about Sharon Osbourne. Didn't she have a chat show once before and was so crap that it was dropped pretty quickly?

Has Christo been kept on?

I hate Kev's new timeslots.
I'm glad he's still there but if they had to have him vacate his 7 til 10 weekdays I'd have preferred him back on Sat and Sun mornings.

Oh well. Let's see what it's like.

PS
No Christo -

Cristo is staying, apparently signed on for the weekend 5am show at the last minute:
