Anyway, recap. Can't really remember how far back the previous thread went but off the top of my head

Labour won the election, thanks to Tan's singlehanded efforts
Tan made an inappropriate joke when Donald Trump got shot at and the right-wing loons of Twitter came for her.
Tan claimed to have lost a job because she called out workplace racism.
Tan had some semi-feral kittens in her garden.
Tan slagged off Oasis
 
I don't doubt she gets a lot of undeserved tit. Anyone with her following will do. That is to be condemned.

The issue I personally have is the extreme over-reaction to anything approaching criticism. While at the same time being willing to call people all sorts of things and then delete the tweet when someone calls her out so she can then claim that "people are digging things up!".

naval gazey merail: I think as with Jack, I am intrigued by Tan because she reminds me of an exaggerated version of me in my early 20s. Thankfully I had the opportunity to have intensive trauma therapy (my therapist would look at me pointedly here and say "thank you" when I then follow up with "yes I had the opportunity and privilege to do so but I also took it seriously and worked very hard at recovery when lots of people with the same opportunity don't") and realised fairly early on that winding yourself up winding other people up and arguing from a place of extreme self-righteousness online is not healthy, not conducive to a positive frame of mind and ultimately .... utterly pointless.

Yes, it's wrong that people say the tit that they do to her. It's very wrong, and it shouldn't happen. But also from a self-preservation point of view ... if you make a tasteless joke about Donald Trump on a public platform (that ultimately achieves nothing in the grand scheme of things), you're going to get dickheads sending you horrible tit that will make you feel scared and like tit. It's not right. It's not right AT ALL. But ... there is one thing you can control about the situation, and that would be not posting.
 
I don't really agree with means testing the Winter Fuel Allowance, but I also don't think it will be noticed much unless we have a winter like 2010-11.

When she says she's been "uploaded to wank sites", is there a hint of pride in her tone? I have no doubt that this has happened; it's a go-to for certain web denizens when they disagree with a woman. But the selfie she decided to use with the post has me questioning her level of actual disgust with appearing on " wank" sites.

Admittedly the first tweet was about FPTP reform, so apologies if I'm being scum and taking her words out of context. I just find it funny that the activist is now ignoring all the writing on the wall and going WAIT AND SEE, I SUSPECT THEY WILL U-TURN
