It’s a really old quote though isn’t it used to describe tall, dark featured, handsome men? I don’t think it’s ever been proven if it means dark skin or dark hair but the saying is at least over a hundred years old lol.

ETA I actually studied English lit at uni and it was proven to first appear in a novel in like the 18th century and it was more or less argued it meant dark hair due to the times as black men wouldn’t have been romanticised at that time in writing.
Then there was the movie that ‘solidified’ the saying called ‘Tall Dark and Handsome’ from the 1950s and the story lead was a white man with dark hair.
 
I watched about two minutes of Aftersun until Sam Thompson started talking and then I had to switch it off and watch Jumanji for the millionth time instead! Which is rubbish as I really wanted to watch Molly’s interview.

To clarify I don’t dislike her or villainize her but objectively she is quite over the top and her personality is very out there (and that’s fine!) but I just find it annoying 🥲
She seems to be doing very well as an influencer anyway so out of the villa that will just carry on even more for her
